I'm getting a crash whenever I try to duplicate clips that are in an Edit Group.

I'm not seeing any crash reports coming in that are obviously related to this? What OS are you on? If Windows, can you send a .dmp file to roland@tracktion.com

I sent the .dmp files. But now I've run into a much more concerning error. Some of my projects that work fine in W9 appear grayed out in W10. When I click on them, the edit window doesn't change from what it was before, so I can't open them. When I try to Open Project manually, they say that I don't have permission to open the project file (I checked, all the administrator privileges are allowed).

There's also a prompt to Close Project, which, being stupid, I clicked for one of my projects. I've now lost one of my projects. By which I mean, in the project folder in explorer, the renders/exports/etc. are fine, and the edit files are there, but now the project file is gone and I can't open it when I go back to W9. I checked the recycle bin and searched the drive but the project file appears to be gone. I can't open the edit files in either W9 or W10.

If they're greyed out it means the file has been moved. If you click a greyed out project, you'll see in the properties panel the location Waveform is looking for it. Can you check there to see if they've been moved. (This can happen with projects on an external drive if Windows re-assigns the drive letter).

Closing a project shouldn't delete it. It sounds like the project file was greyed out because it's been deleted or moved on the hard disk somehow. If you can find it on your hard disk and drag the "PROJECT_NAME.tracktion" project file back on the the Projects list to re-add it.

This solved the issue for one of the projects, so that was very helpful. For the other one, I can't find the project file on any of my hard drives. This missing one is the one I closed, and it's also the one that stopped working while I was using it. I don't understand how the project file can be on none of my drives but also not in the recycle bin. I did find shortcuts to point to the project file, but they say the project file is moved or deleted.

If you already own W9 the beta of W10 should be in the downloads section of your account on tracktion.com. The most recent beta expires Feb 18th, so you still have time to try it out.

I have a very minor annoyance. Whenever I move projects around in the projects tab, all the folders open. Also, it would be useful to have a "Close/Open All Folders" button or something so I can hide them all and make it more neat.

It's tricky that when I open Waveform, every folder and every folder in a folder is open at once, so I either have to close a ton of folders or poke around until I find the right project. With 14 folders/subfolders and many more projects, it's a mild inconvenience.

The same applies to the insert plugin window, I have a lot of folders for plugins and they often stay open when they should automatically start closed.

Waves Bass Slapper Stereo - the VST3 version (Mac) was actually on a track in W10 beta in a test I was doing but I had a crash which pointed to it.

I tried running the validator on it but it came up that there was a problem validating the plugin and to check that the plugin file still exists (it was just playing on the track?).

You'll need to be more specific than "does not work".

Thumbnail Scan is VERY long (1-2 hours). At the end no thumbnail of a plugin is taken. This worked correctly in V9...

my only issue is (i use multi screens ) when you open saved project the windows arent in the same position , the midi editor falls on top of the main window and the mixer doesnt open just a blank white screen , i did notified support the answer was there's no rules on how the windows open in daws, except all other daws open windows as they where saved, fix this rules or not it is an issue, aside from that love the concept
