Initial install of demo failed. 2010 macpro 12 core, macos10.12 LPX 10.4.4 causes auval to hang requiring a force quit. re-auth in plugin-manager causes same hang with auval. help... ?

Hi plexuss, I know you will hate me for that, but your CPU is a Westmere. The first CPU generation that was supporting AVX was Sandy Bridge in 2011.

AVX is listed in the system requirements of Vaporizer2. We need it to boost parallel processing in the wavetable engine. Sorry for that.

This is an amazing synth for this price. There are some UI quirks here and there. Not wrong, necessarily, just not what one would expect.
The ADSR envelopes, for example, have a slope from the end of the decay phase to the end of the sustain phase when you are adjusting it with nothing but the knobs: https://f001.backblazeb2.com/file/mwdie ... 20ADSR.png. The scale of the envelope display is also not always obvious.
I have trouble understanding the filter display. Resonance does not appear on the graph except at very high values, even though it is audible. And on the HPF / LPF filters, the display is also odd in that after the cutoff, there's another shaded area that makes the filter look like it's really a notch, not an HPF/LPF. But it is not clear to me what you mean with "end of the sustain phase". The envelope display is not showing a sustain phase since the envelope is just sustained (paused) on the sustain point (the flag with the "S"). In case that you want the envelope to sound more "digital" you can simply double click on the circles on the slopes and it will default to a linear ramp - otherwise drag it up and down to become more "curvy".

Ok, the filter response display works a bit different compared to other synths I believe as it is not a simulated drawing. It is actually displaying a real-time filter impulse response of the selected and parameterized filters in the filter section. So it is so to say a real-time test. For this an impulse signal is send to a copy of the filters and the response is displayed in the diagram. So if it is showing something strange then maybe the filter is behaving in that way. Hello, Tobias. I'll try to explain better.
In most ADSR displays, the sustain point is represented by a horizontal line whose width is just a visual aid. There are only three actual segments in an ADSR envelope: Attack, Decay, and Release, with a sustain at the point between Decay and Release.
But in Vaporizer2, the ADSR envelope has four segments: Attack, Decay, a second Decay with a different slope, the Sustain point, and then Release:

The ADSR is not really an ADSR. It is an ADDSR. Or at least it is if you only edit the MSEG using the knobs. I don't think anyone would modulate the knobs of the "ADSR" envelope in Vaporizer, because there is no control over the length of that second decay from the knobs.
The envelope in Vaporizer2 that is actually an ADSR is the ADR. It has an Attack, Decay, Sustain point, and a Release, and the knobs accurately reflect that.
Like I said, there's nothing "wrong" with what Vaporizer2 is doing. I realize that these are MSEGs that can be setup to behave like a traditional envelope. But the terminology is confusing because it is non-standard. No other synth calls an ADSR envelope an "ADR."
If it were me, I would change the templates. Eliminate the existing "ADSR" template, copy the existing ADR template, and call it "ADSR." Then toggle the sustain point off on the original ADR template, because an ADR should not have a sustain point.
I understand all of that. However, I'm not talking about the curve of any given slope but that the ADSR in Vaporizer2 has two Decay segments. I might add that the Ramp, Sine, and Stairs MSEG templates are not usable.
The "Total" envelope time for those templates is "0 ms," and there appears to be no way to change this. You can't drag a point past the right edge of the editor. There's no way to extend those in time.
So for all practical purposes, the only way to create a custom MSEG is to fiddle with one of the ADSR templates to get the length you want, and then edit / delete the points between the start and end. That is very cumbersome.
I think your MSEG editor needs a scale or length control. Not sure what to suggest.
The "Total" envelope time for those templates is "0 ms," and there appears to be no way to change this. You can't drag a point past the right edge of the editor. There's no way to extend those in time.

Hi there, please try to use the ATK, DEC, SUS, REL knobs for that. They are intended to define the duration of a segment. So for the Ramp use the DEC knob and set it to 1000ms or so. For the Stairs use the DEC as well. FYI - Any wavetable made for Serum/Rapid/Pigments/etc., in other words, anything with 2048 samples per frame in WAV format, will work in Vaporiser2 as-is. I was able to use all my Serum WAVs just by browsing to them.
