Well, at least there are two of us! :hihi:

Honestly, I can't think of any major feature which I'm missing in Tracktion at the moment - not to speak of the future minimum hardware requirements, that even T2 will demand! (I have a P3-1000 Laptop running here. With Cubase3 it would be a no-go!)

Hmmm, that's how business & marketing currently goes... :? I can't find a better reason, why Steinberg should have brought a new major version within a year since SX2!

.... aahrgh I'm writing too much! I rather should go back on my laptop and make some music with Tracktion!

I still cannot believe how efficient the work flow is – I for one am really happy with T1, I have only been using it seriously for just under a week – and there are some really important features in it that are simply quite hard to find in some other apps.

Anyway – me on the T1 happy list :hihi:

Best regards,

Ha! You actually made fun of me earlier this year when I mentioned Tracktion on the FL board. Glad you came around. :)

I'm just hoping for a really sweet piano roll implementation. Anything above that is just icing on the cake for me.

Agreed. That's the point that somebody mentioned to me earlier, but I'd like to think that Jules could see that ultimately that's not a great policy (in my humble opinion). I'm probably too much of an idealist though, and this view may not fit in with what Mackie want to do with Tracktion.

Correct me if I'm wrong anybody, but SX3 was released before they had fixed some outstanding issues with SX2 (freeze functionality issues). Granted, Steinberg have assured SX2 owners that this will be fixed - but after releasing a major upgrade? I would imagine that might upset people. Hopefully, as a small development outfit (one-man!) Jules can work in a better way than that, and not have to pander to a knee-jerk reaction marketing strategy. I'm guessing that quite a few of us have come to Tracktion after using one of the big sequencers, so there is something to it that made us do that. It would be sad if it got caught up in a 'race' with these and lost its original vision in order to keep up with the others. I hope that Jules takes his time and does what he thinks is right. So far, I think he's done an unbelievable job. Anyway, I feel that I'm getting off topic here....

Yours naively.... :-)

Hmm.. falling in love with the hostage keepers ??

I'm not feeling as a hostage of T1. It does all it has to do for me and that's it. As simple as that.

So nice to feel one's contributed to the advancement of language and understanding in the world

they are brainless proles banging on day after day about the same thing. :)

well...T2 will be here when ready..ok...that's ok..
but i really don't understand why not giving details about its development...
don't take offense....
it's just a metapohric stuff...
but it's like bush's government about 9/11...
but people like knowledge
anyway...do like you like to do...be ready anyway to accept people's reactions..it's normal...we are gone from a friendly developer/user base relationship to a kind of IMHO absurd top-secret stuff...i really don't like it..but i like tracktion...so i'll wait...maybe my love will stay hi...well...i hope at least..

Even the people who claim to not care DO care on a certain level. We'd all love to hear about T2, and if everyone's like me, this is one of the things they've been looking forward to most in the computer/music side of their lives.

It's just that a new thread about the topic every other day doesn't seem to help. As much as I wish all our complaining and conjectures would bring Jules out of the woodwork to give us a preview of some sort, if he was going to do so, he would have done so by now.

And without knowing why, I can't qualify any one individual's decisions as 'absurd', though the situation may seem absurd to some.

Groundhogology? As practiced by Groundhogologists. The study of Groundhoggery in all its forms.

Also, the "Groundhogification" of a thread?

Antigroundhogificationalism, the movement to stamp out continuing Groundhoggification.
