Hi @all!

is there any "sequencer plug-in" :?
this way I wouldn't have to still use my laptop when performing with RECEPTOR..
you know, just for running some BIG intros and so on (but NO audiofiles ...)

would that work somehow ?!

thanx !

There is no sequencer plug-in at this time.

The VST spec allows for MIDI-only plug-ins. However, I am not aware of any MIDI-only VST plug-ins available. At this point Receptor does not support MIDI-only plug-ins, but we could add support for these plug-ins at a later date.

Are there any sequencer plug-ins in Windows VST format available?

i've been working on a 'notron inspired' midi vst dealie, but it's really f**king me off. i can shoot you a crappy version that has a fixed # of steps, or only plays in one direction, or only steps thru the sequence 1 step per clock pulse.. but full v.' is on hold

Isn't Fruity Loops a sequencer plugin too? Or is there just a VST bridge?

i'm quite sure i've seen several midi sequencer plugs.. nothing fancy tho. as said, fixed # of steps, 10 minutes.

well...theres some "step sequencers" that work..that is it's a synth with a built in 16 stage sequencer, such as Kraklies EZ Poly and Ugo's Motion. Arpeggiators such as our ARPY ( from Algomusic) works nicely. Not the same as a full fledged sequencer however. But allows you to get some automation going. The original Wheel of Fortune is nice as well for this.

Receptor ships with Synger. Unfortunately, Chris Kerry doesn't want us to ship any synthedit plug-in that includes his modules.

Besides Synger are there any other plug-ins by XOXOS that do not include modules by Chris Kerry that we should consider?

my objective is generally to keep freeware 'competitive,' so generally whatever i do, there's going to be somethnig else that does it better.

apart from syng/synger (is synger the vsti? i forget) 'smoky joe' is ~ unique as a super-crappy formant shifter effect (no clue if chris' modules are in it.. different pc)

the 'composition' stuff is a little different but doubt it's convenient to use from a h/w/live basis.

tim - ta for heads up :)
