Interesting side-note. I upgraded to Waveform 10 and I also installed the bundled Auto-Tune Access, which added the associated license to my CodeMeter dongle. My CodeMeter dongle also includes my Reason license. Turns out Reason is ok with the Auto-Tune Access license on the CodeMeter dongle, but the Reason Authorizer is not (which you need to install/manager Reason Rack Extensions). After working with Wibu (the CodeMeter folks), it was easiest to remove the Auto-Tune Access license. After doing this, the Reason Authorizer started working again. Clearly, the issue is with the Reason Authorizer. I submitted a Propellerhead support case. But it may take time before this is understood and corrected by Propellerhead (if ever). Just a heads-up for those who have Reason and use their CodeMeter dongle (Reason ignition key). Might save someone time working through this, as I did.

Tried the Antares website and apparently I need an iLok account as well.
You can count me out.

Seem to have registered it without an iLok account. The Server Error didn't happen when I retried 6 hours later.

me too, if true.

can we get some clarification around this?

I presume you don't have to install autotune? is it a separate installer?

I also assume you don't have to install it, but since it supposedly represents some of the value of the upgrade (I may be wrong but wasn't the last upgrade $59 instead of $69), it would be nice to know beforehand whether you will actually use it before buying it. Because I don't want to install iLok or any of that stuff on my system.

I should clarify, you can count me out of the iLok protected Auto-Tune, not W10. From some other threads it does sound like it's on a separate installer.

I resisted ilok for a long time but there are so many nice freebies that use it I decided to install it and to be honest it's not really that bad. It's pretty easy to manage your plugins, you just have to be careful if you switch computers or hard drive.

The iLok account isn't required. Eventually the Server Error went away and I got the thing installed as per the instructions.

It's separate. I didn't realise this until I'd scanned folders and searched. The thread by TerryNoakes on page 1 suggests they are separate installations, but I didn't immediately twig that.

So, this is the procedure:

1. Somewhere near the end of your MyDownloads page there is a button to get the Auto-Tune plugin.

2. The button takes you to an Antares page and there are two bits to install.
a. Codemeter Runtime
b. Auto-Tune (downloads as a zip file for Windows)
When I ran Codemeter Runtime, its progress meter stayed on zero for 15 minutes while it looked like something written for Windows 95. I installed the Auto-Tune thing from within the zip file - there's a short PDF telling you what to do, and a .exe file to install it into

c:\\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and it's called Auto-Tune Access.vst3.

The Codemeter Runtime creates a new Start Menu option under Antares Audio Technology called Lauch Antares Central.exe.

3. The instructions tell you to open Waveform and scan for the plug-in, then to add it to a track. This has the same effect as running Antares Central.exe. Either choice gives you the opportunity to sign in or register. This is where I got the Server Error, and is the reason I tried going via the Antares website, which, it turns out, I didn't need to.

4. Eventually, having registered, I was able to get the Central thing to ask for the licence code from the My Downloads page. I pasted this in (in fact, I'd copied it and then pasted it into NotePad to get rid of the HTML nonsense the copy had picked up. So I copied from NotePad and then pasted it into the Central prog.

I hope this helps others do it with fewer expletives than I used.

I have no intention of using it, yes it would be great to have a cheaper update without all the extra stuff, none of which I'm interested in.

The cost went up because we have to pay the transaction fee for them.

It was $49 last year.

Or did you get yours during a discount period?

It was $59 last year. I believe the first time it went over $30 was due to the addition of Collective in Waveform 8 when it went up to $49 (or $49.something) at that point, but the year after (I believe - haven't located the thread yet) people complained that there was always a transaction charge added, taking it to more than $49, so TSC rounded it up to $59.

Evidence, m'lud:

$49 for W8 (and, yes, some of the mentions are me answering questions)

$59 for W9 (Chico includes a screenshot)
