Currently impossible to an fmo to zero % keyscale
One of the great tricks of the dx 7 was to use a modulator routed into a fixed carrier at around 5 hz for phasing vibrao effects .
On the tg77 , the operator could even be set to 0hz and use it as an actual sine shaper
In zebra , the tuning of an operator can be brought down by controlling the pitch by the constant of a multi mix r module , but still there is that -2/+2 keytracking ...which can't be set to 0
On a side note , there is still that bug when an fmo is ridiculously low tuned and set to stereo , we hear the mirrored frequencies ( verry high )

As we're gearing up for a major upgrade, I'm not sure we can do this in its current incarnation. But yeah, more elaborate tuning options similar to Bazille are on the wish list.gentleclockdivider wrote: Mon Feb 18, 2019 11:54 pm Currently impossible to an fmo to zero % keyscale

I did not know that (or it fell out of my memory). Would you have a preset and/or mp3?On a side note , there is still that bug when an fmo is ridiculously low tuned and set to stereo , we hear the mirrored frequencies ( verry high )

You can set the key scaling of the FMOs on the FMO tab, including setting them to 0%, or even negative values.

I quickly made a simple preset that uses an FMO for the vibrato. You can download it here.
I tuned this by ear, but it should be close enough to 5hz.

Link does not seem to be working for me? I'm curious what the applications are for this.

Of course it can! Hold down SHIFT for fine tuning of any values, including this.gentleclockdivider wrote: Mon Feb 18, 2019 11:54 pmbut still there is that -2/+2 keytracking ...which can't be set to 0

Way down! How slow do you want? In this example, the mod wheel sends FMO2 pitch from ridiculously slow (not sure whether 0Hz) to supersonic. Also try swapping the positions of the FMOs in the grid.Urs wrote: Tue Feb 19, 2019 4:58 am Hehehe, curious to see how deep one can get the frequency down...

Been experimenting with slow FM.
Here's an example. Use aftertouch, mod wheel...

It's also cool to use FMOs as modulators for XMFs, which can be used as sound sources at high resonance settings.
I quickly made an example patch which uses an FMO to modulate and XFM. The FMO modulates between LFO and audio rates. Don't turn up the mod wheel
Here is the preset: Buchla Bubbles
