Waveform and Remote SL

Dear All,
Has anyone had any success getting a Novation ReMOTE 25 SL working with Waveform?
It works fine as a simple keyboard for entering MIDI notes, but I can't get any of the pots or sliders etc to work.
When I go to "Control Surfaces" in Settings I can see "Novation ReMOTE SL", "Remote 25 SL" and "Scooner's ReMOTE", as well as Novation Automap Universal (which doesn't have <No device selected> next to it).
I think some of these are here from when I trying to get this working a little while ago, I believe I tried using the "Create New Custom Control Surface" option.
If I look in MIDI Devices, I see3-Remote SL (output and input). I see MIDIOUT2 and MIDIOUT3 (3-Remote SL), and MIDIIN2 and MIDIIN3 (3-Remote SL). I have enablr only 3-ReMOTE SL Input.

I can't get MIDI learn to work. I hit MIDI learn in Waveform, then move a knob on a plug-in GUI - it then says (for example) "Parameter waiting to be assigned: Collective 64 bit) - Semitone. Then when I move a knob/slider on my Remote, nothing happens, the message stays there.
Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong please?
I have Automap 4.4-10, and Novation USB Driver 2.6. I'm using Waveform 9.3.2.
