MPE support?

I just bought a Linnstrument, and have had luck with the Xplane/pitch bend but, very little luck in mapping the Yplane stuff. Like, I tried to map it to the mod wheel, and I even tried going into the RePro Midi-Mapper and tie the filter cutoff and PWM to it. I tried doing the same thing with mapping Filter cutoff to pressure but, no luck. This is all from the Per-Split settings on the Linnstrument...either transmitting cc1, etc, or by the Midi-Map. I know I’m doing something wrong, just not sure what it is. I’m doing all of this in Logic Pro X. Any tips would be appreciated. I could use Logic’s stock instruments but, that would be too easy. RePro sounds better. I also have Hive and Diva. I may give one of them a go tonight

In Logic, you can use any CC for the Y axis. Try using breath. In that case, set the Linnstrument Y axis (timbre) to CC#2 and assign breath in the RePro mini matrix to control what you want. Done...W23 wrote: Wed Feb 20, 2019 8:35 pm I just bought a Linnstrument, and have had luck with the Xplane/pitch bend but, very little luck in mapping the Yplane stuff. Hi Guys,
Is there any way of getting the "Wheel Mod" section in Repro to work with MPE?
Using the Mod Matrix connections the mod wheel works fine but not in "Wheel Mod".
Cheers
Andy

D'oh, it's so simple. I wasn't having much success setting up my Roli Seaboard Block with Diva until I tried this. Works perfectly. Thanks!EvilDragon wrote: Sun Feb 17, 2019 11:10 pm Right, I got what you said... But if Ctrl A is used way more in the patches, you'd want THAT modulation to be more readily available on Roli, no? So I'd rather have CC 74 doing Ctrl A so you have direct control over that with the slide motion. Ctrl B would have to be brought in via a slider or some other controller then. I have it set up like that over here and it's really nice!
I had been following the instructions offered by Roli, but this only maps slide to the cutoff, and there's no control over the range.
But setting ControlA to cc74 gives much more control.
But now I'm curious because I want to do the same with Bazille and Repro-5 but there is no selectable ControlA or B. How are others setting up these synths for use with their MPE controllers?

IIRC Bazille and Repro-5 use Breath (CC2) instead of Ctrl A and Expression (CC11) instead of Ctrl B, so some MIDI CC remapping is in order there.

AFAIK both Repros have Control A and B. But I'll check!
So, I was wrong: Looks like the current official Repro still uses fixed MIDI controllers (CC2 and CC11).

Unfortunately that change came just after RePro was released...Howard wrote: Sun Feb 24, 2019 7:42 am AFAIK both Repros have Control A and B. But I'll check!

I was having so much fun with Diva+Seaboard block that I forgot to check back here. Still keen to get this working for Bazille though.

I tried a few CC re-mappers - the PizMidi plugins looked like the solution but I'm having no success so far (I'm using Bitwig). As I understand, cc74 needs to be remapped for multiple channels, so this seems like an inelegant solution.EvilDragon wrote: Sat Feb 23, 2019 2:43 pm IIRC Bazille and Repro-5 use Breath (CC2) instead of Ctrl A and Expression (CC11) instead of Ctrl B, so some MIDI CC remapping is in order there.
OK, so maybe this is in the pipeline?Howard wrote: Sun Feb 24, 2019 7:42 am AFAIK both Repros have Control A and B. But I'll check!

Yeah it will happen, at some point.

Just accept that it doesn't work in Bazille until it gets the new browser and hopefully also has the Control A/B added at the same timestimresp wrote: Fri Mar 01, 2019 12:19 pm I was having so much fun with Diva+Seaboard block that I forgot to check back here. Bazille is still amazing with just X and Z axis working...

amazing, bazille has great MPE support for my usage. And replacing cypher with bazille seems like a good idea.
remapping in logic is a matter of one builtin plugin for multichannel remap of same parameter, so no issues there.
will get rid of both fxpansion synths, they sound good but I don't find it as fun working with them.

There is no need to remap in Logic...Ploki wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 8:17 amremapping in logic is a matter of one builtin plugin for multichannel remap of same parameter, so no issues there.
