No Bitmaps Allowed for Track Images?

If I right click under the Track Inputs area I can "Set image" and am given 31 TSC provided images with the option of using others with the + button, but only jpg, png and gif are allowed. Can the ability to add bitmaps to the Set image function be added easily or is this my best bet?
W9 now but W10 soon.

Sorry, bitmaps are unsupported but you should be able to save them as PNG or JPG in practically any image editor.
I've not heard of Bulk Image Converter before but that might help speed things up if you have lots of images.
Where did you get the bitmaps from out of interest? I've not seen images distributed in this format for a long time. Does the source have them available in another format?

These are the ones that came with Cakewalk Sonar for their track icons. There are folders of icons for various brass, drums, guitar, bass, vocals, soft synths, busses... I assume they are still included in the Bandlab version but not sure. There are lots of images so I'll try a bulk converter. Thanks.

Windows Paint will re-save them.

There were about 1200 of them. I'd be converting all day unless Paint has a batch function. Wound up having access to Adobe Photoshop on another computer and using that.

I would be concerned that the license for something like Sonar might not permit using those in other DAWs - though it might if a properly licensed copy of Sonar is installed on the same machine as the other DAW? Never looked at it (don't use Sonar) but based on typical licensing terms, one of those two scenarios is likely.

I've got licensed versions of Sonar from v2 to the end. I'm not too worried about using them in Waveform. Maybe if I was distributing/selling them that would be another issue. Go get the Bandlab version of Cakewalk and worst case scenario you'll get a free DAW to use on the side and a boatload of really nice track icons. And the Bandlab Track Icon Police may kick in your door in the middle of the night.
