Did a thorough in-depth comparison with the competition in recent days and found that MDrummer still rules our galaxy (can't tell about Andromeda, though). There are only a few features I'd wish to become true one day:

a) PM synthesis for drum sound creation
Learning that it will come (or has been established already) in MSF my hopes are high that Vojtech adds this to the available sources in MDrummer.

b) More sequencer step modulation options (serving the electronic crowd)
At some point in MDrummer's dev cycle we got the pitch parameter in the Loop Editor (part of the Rhythm Editor). Great enhancement, thanks for that. It'd be awesome if there will be further parameters available, though. My wish is a "wet parameter" for 1-5 effects sitting in a single drum sound's FX chain.

Example: "Snare1" sports distortion in slot #1 and a convolution reverb in slot #2 of its FX tab. Now it'd be great to tweak the dry/wet portion per step. Let's say you set various values for FX 1 per step, also various ones for FX 2. Of course you could set FX 3, FX 4 and FX5 wetness too but since there aren't any this will have no impact. Until you load another snare sound, hehe... it depends. 8)

The idea behind it is to add more sonic variety within a drumloop which is common and usually wanted for electronic music.

'key, apparently there's no user of MDrummer coming from the electronic side of the moon.

Because... there's no renowned modern drum machine that does not provide 'step features'.

I’d like to see an option to play the internal patterns as they where created without adding extra unwanted hits at the end.

I’d like to see a standard pattern trigger key on/off mode.

I like this idea. Having an fx level for each drum hit would allow for some interesting stuff.

As an electronic music producing user of mdrummer, I too would like these features. When I switched to mdrummer from battery, I was expecting to be able to do more per-note variations, especially with fx.

I've also mentioned before that I'd like the loop editor to have an undo or some UI improvement to make accidentally deleting all notes irretrievably a more difficult thing to do.

I would also like:
Automation options by way of multiparameters (like all other melda plugs)

Modulation by way of modulators (like all other melda plugs)

To be able to switch between source and not lose previous settings (ie switching between sampler, multisampler etc).

My drum programming has definitely improved since switching to mdrummer but I feel I still don't have the drum tool I want yet. Mdrummer gets really close though

Haha I hate threads like this :D :D. Plus it's impossible to respond to that... please make separate threads ;).

a) PM in MDrummer - not really planned, but you can already do that in MSynthesizer4NN ;)

b) Effect amount per note - I'm afraid that cannot really be done, because all of the sounds are mixed before effecting. But it should be easy enough to create multiple drums. There could be a note parameter "value", which could then be used in velocity layers, so that you could trigger different layers/drums with it, but the question is, how useful that is, since you can easily just create multiple drums...

c) topaz: Unwanted hits - what do you mean exactly?

d) Loop editor undo - yeah, well, long time on the to do list :)

e) Mods & MPS - I'm afraid these won't happen, sorry, long story. There are many limitations in MDrummer's engine compared to the other plugins.

I recently bought MXXX and i started playing with MDrummer, as everyone else on that thread i would love to be able to either automate or modulate fx parameters... Considering how versatile MXXX is, i can't believe that you have no control over many of the parameters in MDrummer. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as i said I'm very new to MXXX, not sure if you can do that in MDrummer individual plugin.

Post

Sorry it won't be possible in MDrummer. But in MXXX you can do that by mapping each parameter you need to a multiparameter:

You know there's theoretically infinite number of parameters potentially needed, so...
