Well in my first example using the mirror module Spexx simply mirrors what you play around the center note, so it detects the pitch of the incoming signal and puts it in relation to the center note. At least that's what I gathered while experimenting.Musical Gym wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 7:11 pm I wasn't notified of the update last week. Maybe I'm no longer on the list?
I thought perhaps Simon might have some info on the harmony over time.

That's great news. Thanks for going the extra mile in testing the update while having a busy work schedule.

Nah, rather around providing a framework for factory presets, etc. That's currently missing for an easier start with the plug-in, and is quite common nowadays to be delivered with such plug-ins.
Also, it's part of a tighter integration with MIDI controllers which isn't a given today.
Another item that has been mentioned recently for us to add to the wishlist are built-in modulation features. It's something that we have to look into further down the road, it's not on the agenda now (no guarantees it will get implemented!): it's not easy to solve as it needs to fit into the GUI, while keeping all controls easily accessible and uncluttered for experimentation with sound.
Of course we're happy to learn about other items, too! So, keep it coming - we're listening.

Processing a field recording I made in a Taipei temple some years ago with Spexx, later adding some reverb (Breeze 2), closing and opening the bus send to Spexx occasionally to make the decaying spectral frequencies more audible, tweaking some parameters on the fly.

Sorry for not replying earlier. Thanks for sharing this video and all the efforts, it should help everyone understand better what one can do with Spexx.Sampleconstruct wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 3:25 pm Processing a field recording I made in a Taipei temple some years ago with Spexx, later adding some reverb (Breeze 2), closing and opening the bus send to Spexx occasionally to make the decaying spectral frequencies more audible, tweaking some parameters on the fly.

Not trying to spam your inboxes .. but one more important item:
Support for ProTools (that is, the AAX protocol) is ready. A beta version for Win+Mac is available and has been tested internally - now waiting for testing by beta testers. This is to make sure it works fine on all sorts of different machines and setups.
Are you using ProTools and are interested in taking this beta version for a spin? Drop us a PM, leave a comment or send us an email at office@re-compose.com.

We have some important news to share with our customers:
We've signed an exclusive agreement for the sale of our products with W.A. Production. It means that we're taking down our existing products (Spexx, I2C8 and Liquid Notes) and relaunch a better, updated version under the brand of W.A. Production.
You won't be able to buy a product from us or at dealers anymore, and we won't serve customers after March 2020.
Anyone who owns a Re-Compose product gets a free trade-in for the replacement product by W.A. Production at no cost; and, the Pumper 2 plug-in free of charge. Follow the instructions in this post (click here ) to complete the process.
In case you need help, reach out to us at support@re-compose.com.
