I have to disagree with that. You can make excellent music with all free stuff nowadays no problem.

you might get a free instant coffee at the shelter, but if you want a fresh cup of the good stuff, you generally need to pay for it. Name me a free filter that sounds as good as the Drop?

That wasn't my point at all. You said he picked the wrong hobby if he isn't willing to spend $99 on one filter. I simply said you do not have to spend money in order to make great music and enjoy this hobby.

Yes, your point was far away from MY point.
If you don't think the Drop is worth $99, then your ears may be better suited to something else.

We've got a winner ^-^

Yep, both the Drop and Glue are in there in some way.

Ableton Glue was how I first found out how good Cytomic's plugins are. It can't do more than 2x oversampling and I think has other minor differences but it's mostly the same. And since Andy cares a lot about quality it's damn good already at 2x oversampling.

You don't quite get The Drop, though. You get the slightly less great (but still great) MD version of The Drop's filters he developed for lower CPU usage (with a focus still on quality) in Simpler, Sampler, Operator, and AutoFilter. Still awesome that his filters are in there anyway! I honestly did not know that AutoFilter had them until today (yes, I should have rtfm.) You have to select one of the filter types other than Clean. Love that you can overdrive them :).

You don't get the fantastic modulation capabilities of The Drop but I have other things for modulation. The most unfortunate difference though is that I don't see an option for oversampling. Still, I expect Andy's filters are excellent even at 44KHz. Certainly sounds great on a test track I did just now.

I think this is a good one to get - though I probably have something that does the same thing. 24H-sPecoPs-29-190228

Did you add the discount code "24H-sPecoPs-29-190228"? I just tried it and it brings the price down to $29.

On a different topic, are there ever decent sales on Magix Sequoia or Pyramix Native? Are those licenses transferable? I haven’t seen sequoia, Sadie, or pyramix ever on this forum.

I actually owned Nuendo 1 and was the DAW for my studio. I went and emailed to see how much an upgrade would cost. Welp it was worthless. I now use a different DAW.
