Working with him was a great experience, and I want to thank Andrew for his invaluable commitment, musicianship and impressive technical skills. And he's a really nice guy too :) Hope you guys enjoy this track.

After entering the Songwriting Competition with a really big and ambitious (for me, at least) track, I decided to calm down and use the last scraps of my month to make an OSC track. It's small, simple, and fairly straightforward. I hope you enjoy.

Guys give me one min, I am re-uploading my final as we speak. edit: And done!
So glad I got a chance to fix some glaring things I heard first time I actually got it in a car.

edit2: Where is this songwriting comp people are referencing? Is it another recurring one, like the OSC?

Well, that might explain part of why you hacked it into MuseScore first
I imagine what a pain this would be to make in my DAW.

@functionform SWC is a fun comp … come join us for the next one … use any tools you want … but don't desert the OSC either … ;-)

REAPER can do custom grid sizes, so I could have written this all in there. (My Triple Cheese track made some use of that, as well as some bits of my Seismic track, actually.) But I wanted to get an idea for sound design before trying to make sounds. It's easier for me to compose the whole thing, make it feel more unified than just a bunch of individual bits, when I don't have the option of tweaking sounds.

Neato! I'll take a look, maybe I can squeeze more time in! It would be nice to use all this damn gear I've been buying only to use the same free 10 effects during OSCs

Bob your track is awesome! Really shows of your composition strength with those flute lines.

Post

@functionform Thanks. Appreciated. Now to get down to reviewing all these PolyMod tracks!
