IK MODO Bass is £60+ cheaper on JRRShop (US) than at IK or Thomann (EU) but "not available in my country (UK)".
About £20($30) is the "GROUP" discount/code. But where does the £60 go to if I buy in EU? IK/JRR or tax? Just trying to understand this bizarre price difference due simply to location. If I magic myself to USA and buy there, am I tax dodging or is it simply cheaper to US citizens?

Base price at IK and JRR are the same if you are in the US. JRR adds a discount. My assumption is that they are passing on some of their profit margin to the customer. But anything beyond that is likely local tax.

Which Sonuscore bundle would you recommend? I'm tempted by both of them.Fleer wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2019 7:17 amThere’s also a sale combining the three Lyrical Phrases libraries. I snoozed on the Metric AB sale.
Just tested to see if it would work today, and no dice. I guess PA doesn't screw around with their limited time sales.
Oh well, hopefully it'll come around again later this year.

That's a steep upgrade price...samsam wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:37 am Thanks folks for the replies about RX Advanced.
Izo said $799 to upgrade!
For my personal needs MPS2 is pretty much perfect. Ozone and Neutron Advanced plus some remix fun with RX standard
For work I have budget for RX Advanced that we need. Edu price for RX Advanced is $599. I was gonna upgrade my MPS if it was reasonable so my RX could mirror the work version, but not at those prices.
But it seems even for work, RX Advanced at Edu price is still higher than the bundles that were mentioned here, at least during sales. Don't think I'll get approval to buy on eBay but discounted bundles from Izo during major sales would, it seems make more sense, even for the work purchase. Shame my spending deadline looms....

While it's no guaranty that it will happen again, last April, the iZotope upgrade sale from RX Standard (1-5 and 6) to RX 6 Advance was around $399 USD from iZotope and cheaper elsewhere (i.e. JRR Shop). And on top of that, iZotope RX Post Production Suite 2 Upgrade from RX 6 Advanced was $149 (and $125.16 at JRR Shop).Feelshallright wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 1:41 amThat's a steep upgrade price...samsam wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:37 am Thanks folks for the replies about RX Advanced.

Looking at the MH Character plugin. 3 questions:
Still only 1 ilok activation?
Is it still unique compared to other saturators?
How long will the sale last?
Thank you in advance

"Character is so cool, because it has all of the good stuff and none of the bad. Who ever heard of noiseless, phase coherent non-linear distortion? To the best of my knowledge it's never been done!"dermage wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:06 pm Looking at the MH Character plugin. 3 questions:

Contemporary Color also does noiseless multiband saturation "without phase issues" though MH Character seems to have many more options for different types of saturation/distortion.

Thanks Eric & Ou_Tis.
I have been testing this a bit and must say I like the versatility of ContemporaryColor more.
Also as I'm having some of the more recent saturators, they feel more stable and coherent in sound. E.g. Phil's Cascade, Klevgrand ReAmp, U78 Saturator.
The activation model seems to not have changed, so it is still 1 activation and I would have to buy 2. Not sure if this is worth it still.
Any other opinions on this?

So I purchased this real cheap 500W fog machine on ebay. I think it may be a factory reject as there are three different coloured LEDS on it but they all turn on no matter what button [ A B C D ] you press on the remote. Anyway, I have grown tired of pressing the tiny buttons on the wireless remote every few minutes. The receiver connects to what looks like a standard DMX connector on the unit.
Do you think the communications protocol are standard on these machines? If I get a Chauvet timer remote will it work on my unit?
