MDrummer Drum Names vs Drum Types

I'm wondering whether it would be possible to have the MIXER display drum names (or re-names) rather than Drumtypes.

Let's say I have a MIDI part in DAW with more than the basic three HH articulations...so as well as HH, HH Open, and HH Pedal, I have HH Bell. To have MD play this extra hit (in Drum Pad mode) I can add another Drumtype in the Drumlist then assign an appropriate sample to it and assign a key to it.
The added Drumtype could be another Hi-hat; I can rename it to 'HH Bell' to remind me what it is. Or, it could be the Drumtype Scratch 1... I could rename that.

OK, I could have many different high hat articulations being triggered. Let's say I've added four extra articulations using Scratch 1,2,3, and 4...and re-named them to HH Bell, HH Side, HH Shank, and HH half open....great, but in the MIXER they appear as Scratch 1,2,3,4. How about having the mixer display the names (or re-names) rather than the underlying drumtypes.

Same consideration for Input MIDI filters.

I can see that applying this idea to Output MIDI filters might be another matter because of the relationship between Drumtypes and the whole Rhythm generating thing....??

I'd like to 2nd this idea. I often use other types of drums like Taikos or something else that isn't one of the supplied drum types. Having the names displayed would save time, so I don't have to remember that the "low taiko" is floor tom 2. Of course it depends on how hard it is to do, but if its a quick fix I think it would help make things easier to use.

I'd also like it to apply to the rhythm editor also. It would make things easier to understand and more useful for things like fx, world music, etc.

I 3rd the motion! You gotta keep that leg up on Superior drummer 3! I've already turned 4 people...

That is a nice request, i would like to see that as well!

Yay, we have this now in 13.00c (beta). Just for MIXER. I suspect that having this in INPUT MIDI FILTER might be impossible. I'll write about this in another post about 13.00c.

I'd rather avoid input MIDI filter, things are quite more complicated there and they need to work the same way for all drumsets, so...
