And yet you question my post? What is it with you people? Do you all go koo-koo at once?
Dude Nobody called Reason Racist :hihi: :hihi:

They were talking about a Video with a beat producer who was speaking in slang and someone mocked that and that turned into the debate about racisim and I made a sarcastic comment on that.
It had nothing to do with Reason. Did you read the entire thread? Not that i'd ask you to go through such suffering.

Not very Cash Money of you to insult the entire thread tho.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

As already pointed out by Anosou, the voiceover is by Tiger Darrow, who by the way is a 26-year old woman and musician.
I'm sorry, the only Tigers I know are Tiger Woods and Tony the Tiger.

She sounds young and her voice breaks up every few sentences. That's what I hear in the vid. I'm not knocking Propellerhead decision to use a young woman in their marketing. I said it in my last post that the DAW market is saturated, and Propellerhead is trying to do what they can to reach more people.

Personally, I like the Key Wane Propellerhead video. It's inspiring, and well produced and Wane's voice is so laid back and chill. And when you compare to interviewer Ryan's chipmunk voice, there's like a 5 octave difference between the two, lol.

telecode wrote: Thu Mar 28, 2019 12:02 pmI see. So what are your thoughts on FL Studio for large tracks?
It's apparently a great DAW, but I could never warm up to it, even though I really tried 2-3 times - it just seems messy & cluttered to me. But I know people who are really familiar wouldn't change it for anything else, because of speedy workflow. It's supposedly very efficient too, so high track count shouldn't be a problem.
Same here. I've tried many DAWS over the years and FL was always hard for me to understand and get used to the GUI.
I've had a love hate relationship with Reason until version 9. Since then, I can't get enough of it. VST was the best thing to happen to Reason IMO aside from the mixer.

the biggest advantage of Reason was the flexible modulation system which was solved in Live with Signal

If not quoted, would not respond. But that comment is like calling a donkey a horse just because it has 4 legs. Really illogical, just what I'd expect from teh intrawebzez.

Besides, if you were paying attention (clearly not) you'd have understood the context and not gone all semantics.

How does a voice break up, do you reckon she’s overloading the mic?

Dude, I am just kidding around. I actually like Key Waynes stuff. I never knew he was a Reason user.

My real issue with that Youtube promo video is that it re-enforces certain stereotypes associated with hip-hop and the black community which you know damn well, all the high brow musically educated wankers are going to jump all over and go, "you see, i told you so, those hip-hop people are poorly educated illiterates that can't speak normal". and for all you know, Key may be ery well read and be a big deal in his community engagement activities -- but you will never get that impression from that video because he is presented from a certain angle to the audience Propellerheard is trying to target. I guess the amateur musician who wants to make beats in his apartment.
