Master FX....they load (can hear) but can't see them/find them anywhere (so can't edit them).
In the mixer I think the Send and OH and Room and Out channel titles at the bottom should be centred to fall between the above Solo/Mute buttons.
And I think the Out channels should read 'Out 1' etc (space between Out and 1).

Hmmm, please contact me via info@meldaproduction.com and send me info about your OS and DAW and perhaps a screenshot or something?

I think goldglob is looking for the Effects tab - which is not in the main set of tabs

OK, I can see now that Master FX show up in the mixer but only for Out 1.
Docs say "please note that since these are loaded to all master channels, the CPU consumption will depend on the number of output channels"......but say I'm using Out 1 and Out 2, Master FX are only on Out 1.

Hi Darkstar, no it wasn't that, I had a kit set up with several Out channels, added a Master FX preset, but couldn't see any populated FX slots across all the Outs. I've only just realized that the Master FX presets seem to just go on Out 1.DarkStar wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2019 2:16 pm I think goldglob is looking for the Effects tab - which is not in the main set of tabs

....OK, I see that an EFFECTS preset (can be a chain) can be loaded in the mixer to any of the Outs...the load dialogue goes to the same directory as when loading from Quick Setup> Master effects. But, yeah, just goes to Out 1 when loading from Quick setup. Wondering whether the Quick setup> Master effects is redundant....can just load what you want from the mixer.

Another thing,
I can see that with the FX slots in the mixer I can do all the things I could do before in MD 12 (add or trash an FX, load or save a chain of effects, re-order them in the chain.....but what a shame the width restriction of a channel means that many of the FX names are truncated. It would be good to have the full name show by hovering with mouse...like the little tooltip thing you see when hovering over an FX slot in the REAPER mixer.

The new mixer is certainly the way forward (proper faders etc, had to be done), but I'm finding it unsettling to look at...all those vertical divisions just seem to blur into each other..I'm stopping, peering...where does the channel strip start and end? What belongs to what? Needs work I think.

Agreed, a gap between every 4 channels would help, with larger space between the different groups (drums, utility, outs). The mixer channels are slightly tinted, but not enough to distinguish them. And I cannot see where to set the channel colour. Maybe it would help if the faders were tinted?
PS The only way I have found to change the output routing of a drum is to mousewheel over the number. I could not drag it nor (double-)click to select/type in the number.

It's OK, no need for screenshots, it was just that I hadn't realized QUICK SETUP> MASTER EFFECTS loads FX to only Out 1. (I haven't done much with multi-outs in the past).MeldaProduction wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2019 1:58 pm Hmmm, please contact me via info@meldaproduction.com and send me info about your OS and DAW and perhaps a screenshot or something?
