How do I create a device in Melda world (perhaps in MXXX) that is based on the following idea:
1. It's basically a sampler;
2. And it's sample playback is triggered by an incoming audio signal;
3. And the sample playback volume is following the incoming signals volume;
4. And the sample playback start time can be changed/modulated.
Example: I would like my snare drum microphone's signal to trigger some other percussion samples (or perhaps some synth sounds or loops) in a sampler. So the sample playback is triggered by my snare drum hits. The sample playback volume should be dependent on my snare hit volume but I would like to set up the volume link between the triggering signal and the sample playback volume. (Eg The louder the snare hit the louder the triggered sample volume; or the other way round, the louder the snare hit the softer the triggered sample playback volume.) If I could also set the sample playback start time in relation to the attack signal from my snare, than I could create all kinds of "live audio triggered" rhythms. Finally, to avoid false triggering from bleed into the snare microphone, it would also be great to set some kind of a gate between the snare signal and the sample triggering.
Obviously this should also work with claps or any other audio signal eg. vocal etc as the sample playback triggering audio signal.
