See, now this is something that is quite possible based on past experience. Apple waves enough money in front of Urs and I'm almost positive we've seen the end of U-he. Would it surprise me if someday there were no more small developers because they can't compete? Not at all. Look what happened in the "real" world with the mom and pop stores. And now, with the Internet and Amazon, stores like Sears are going out of business. This was almost unthinkable 20 years ago.

The world is changing and I wouldn't put anything past anyone.

But in this particular case, this is pure speculation based on absolutely nothing.

Now, would Waves sell out to Apple? If the money was some insane amount, maybe. It wouldn't surprise me. But for Waves to team up with another operation on their level, I just don't see it.

i honestly don't think apple has use for U-he. it would cost them
more then the return. they have alchemy for sound design so they don't need zebra. they have analogs too.

waves is the one that has money and needs to make a move.

I hope not wags.
That’s the scary part of companies with that much money.
Money speaks.

I don’t think that will ever happen tho, I was more joking around.
Like I said It would completely implode KVR if it did :hihi:

I think it’s more likely Apple continues to make Alchemy more OP rather then buy any other companies.
I expect Alchemy to jump on the wavetable bandwagon soon.

The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

I'm still waiting for proof. And please don't say common sense or whatever you said. Why do they need to make a move? Is their bottom line down from last year? Are sales off from last year? Is their stock price down? Give me something other than "This is what I think."

Because I can think anything I want to. I can come here and say "I think Pianoteq has to worry about Spectrasonics Keyscape because their sales will be hurt. So they should merge with Sugar Bytes and concentrate on selling synth FX."

It's ludicrous.

They have a turnover in the tens of millions. Almost every other plugin company out there would be desperate to be 'wanting to compete' quite as well as they are.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

just keeping an eye out for the next big hit so i know what to buy into and not to buy into.
And you lack that common sense with the very first post.

I have no idea how you came up with those ideas as a facts. That NI did uhe sale you count as a merge/buyout/aquire? What? Do you even understand what does it mean to partner on a sale and merger/aquire?. You mustve skipped classes i dont believe you are so stupid to not understand the differences. Even a kindegardener probably would understand the differences.

Waves is trying to move into hardware, a la Universal Audio. Their DigiGrid System thingy seems to be a where they’re concentrating, if going by the emails I get from them is any indicator. It covers external DSP, and networking, etc. Expensive stuff aimed at the professional recording studio

their software has always been expensive (till they started daft sales) and always aimed at pro studios

Maybe they could call it 'Turn'.

Waves 'Turn' - Soft, but chewy; Dense, but yielding; Full of stuff...Brown :scared:
