i watched the video on opening multi browsers and have 4 open. i have tried to load all 4 into each of their tracks, but the window does'nt open like the video showing me how. i can only load them one at a time. any ideas? it looks straightforward but only the dialog box that will allow you to put one track at a time shows. i'm on a mac.

tried on my pc same problem. help??

is there a setting i'm missing??

Post

I'm giving it a try...

I managed to get the dialogue box asking what I wanted to do with the file (before the one asking if I wanted them copying into the project folder) and I could only get one file to be added. I tried dragging left and right, with shift or ctrl held down.

Couldn't get it to do multiple files.

[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

i tried again and held the shift key when dragging a loop. i got the dialog box like in the tracktion video but when i clicked for the 3 loops to go on seperate tracks, they were end to end on one track.

have tried again to figure out the problem, to no avail. i guess nobody else has the issue.i guess i just do without the feature.

Report it, they'll be able to fix it.

(edit)

I didn't read the thread history properly. I get the same problem, of the clips all ending up on the same track, not going onto separate tracks.

In the video, each track has a little yellow arrow thing on the top left of each track. Not sure what that's supposed to signify, but I don't see that on my version of Waveform ...

i have tried every available choice in the drop down menu and every action is the same they are end to end on the same track! very frustrating!!

Okay, i've got it to work.

Hold down Command and Shift while dragging, on Mac, and after being asked whether you want them on the same track, or different tracks, you get a second popup saying "Multiple files - Do you want to add multiple files to one track, or to separate tracks", and choosing separate tracks works.

So this makes the options in the first popup window a bit redundant, except that it lets you choose whether to create new tracks, or insert them on existing tracks.

I don't have a windows laptop available to try on that, but i guess it's probably windows key+shift while dragging?
