Show Projects list in the Browser

I recently went through all my Projects, and I first thought it would be much easier to have just the Projects name shown in a list instead of all the folders when clicking the Projects menu.

Then I realised the Browser is actually a better idea. Could you please add Projects to the Browser as it would speed up access to them in my opinion. I switch frequently between them, so it would make sense if they were easier to access.

Thank you. :)

Thats actually quite a useful feature. I would like it as well, it could potentially help a lot if mulab could browse muprojects inside the right browser panel rather than the default attached one.

Listing your projects in the browser is already possible this way:

What = All Files
Where = Choose a folder
Which = MuProject

And you can save that as a browser preset so it's quick & easy to recall that.

Browser preset? :o
Where'd that come from? :lol:

Dude he meant first make your project directory as favourite,then choose All files from browser,on section where leftt click and choose your favourite folder,why there is no Projects section in browser,coz mulab does not know where u keep your projects,but knows where mux presets,mux effects,muclips,sequences,samples keeped that is why all these exsist in browser excluding projects

Sorry Raph, I didn't understand what you were saying. Make a project folder favourite? Why? What for? How?

MuLab knows exactly where projects are as there is a project folder in the user library. That's no different from MuX and all the rest you mention. So why can't it just be a simple thing?

I haven't gotten round to trying this yet. Shall do it tonight hopefully.

Thanks for the advice tho :tu:

The thing is prioritet,a lot of people doesnot keep muproject in user library,as they often interact with muprojects than muclips,sequences,so i downloaded muproject from net how poor mulab will know where it is,wtf i dont download muclips,sequences from net, dont often interact with these items,that is why using for these items default user library

Oh I see. I thought you had to put projects there for MuLab to see them.

How do you open them then? Using file associations?

Seems odd not to put projects in user library to me. Every time you open a project you'd have no navigate if not using file associations.

Even made file association for muproject in linux and made browser preset and favourite location for download folder,new project section in browser useless as it will not show my downloaded muprojects as i often collab with friends,that is why prefer file manager of browser that will show whole projects of all locations

I tried this and managed to save a preset. But in the Which box, you cannot select anything. As such, only the User Library folder structure is shown. The idea was to show the projects only. Or have the MuProjects folder as the parent. Otherwise it makes using this browser pointless for other things.

What I mean is that you should be able to specify a folder to be the parent to show only the Projects. Maybe add a second and third folders for people like Raph-T that require other locations. But this way you could consolidate locations so the browser shows all projects regardless of location. Surely the point of a browser such as this is to filter what you wish to view by using the What Where Which boxes?

Showing the complete user library folder content makes the other options in the browser unnecessary as you can simply use this one thing to navigate to them as you do the projects. Does that make sense?

That said, it is a little easier using it as is. It would just be so much better if it filtered the Projects so as to provide a simple list of projects, without their backups, folders or other files in the way.

In any situation, the more you have to read the longer it takes to locate what you're looking for.
Hence the purpose of filtering ;)
