I wont work for me, why's that?

Post

I continue on my path on making MUXes with hopefully smashing UIs. :)

Here is my newest one, a seven-band EQ called Equilibrium.

It has hipass and lopass filters, five sweeapable Q-filters in between, volume faders and a dry/mix knob (for the first time in an EQ?).

The sweepable frequencies overlap each other a bit for musical reasons. They use meta parameters to get reasonable min and max values.

I'll upload the MUX soon, but first - is there anything you'd like me to change? I personally think it's super cool.

Love to all from Sweden.

Thank you s123!

Yes, now you can (I had to be out in the sun for a while :D ): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1S8jLy ... asqi8V6Sec

...or find it under Effects > SparkySpark.

Note that it only works in MuLab 8.

One more thing that makes it standing out from the EQ crowd: all filters (except for the hi/lopass) are placed under the exact correct frequency, so it's kind of a WYSIWYG effect. I didn't show it much in the video, but it's actually possible to see the exact frequency for a filter increasing or decreasing in volume in realtime (unless one changes the freq of course...). Quite cool and much more telling than a typical console-style EQ, where you as a user wouldn't get a good visual understanding (in UX design we call it a lack of "mapping") of where in the freq spectrum the change is being made.

Glad you liked it. I'm not sure why it didn't work though. Maybe i did something wrong. I could try posting it again somewhere else maybe?

It also displays my new MUX Gadget - SHYTHM - a Sequenced Rythm maker tool with :-
a. 2 Sample slots
b. 3x2 Effects slots
c. 2 Frequency lfos
d. 2 pitch lfos
e. An interactive Audio Balancer
f. Default attack, decay, release, pitch etc properties.
g. 2 seperate Filter and Q value drag-ables for each sample player.

Hope ye like it!!

Its awesome, love this tool..thanks for sharing!!!
I'd like vertical knows for freqency of ech band and a different back colour for each so that they are more visible.

Thanks Jimp!

Well, the freqs are horizontal to align with the freq spectrum analyzer. ...but you got me thinking of the convention for Q sliders: it is actually a bit spooky that the higher the value, the narrower the Q.

Not sure what you would want other back colors for. The freq sliders?

A different colour for each band would be lovely, for both to seperate each band from another and to make each dial clearly seperate from each other.

Also, in the video i could'nt tell if the spectrum analyser had a different colour for left and right outputs, which helps a bit to identify unwanted frequences.

The dry/wet knob is a great addition and i will update my tool similars to yours, Cawng's make it rich with this feature as well.

Could I gain permission to upload some MUX patches? I have 2 so far with illustrated use guides. I may even do a video tutorial on them, just to show some examples of their capabilities. The first is a synth called ELIXR, and the second is an effect called RetroGrade.
