Check out Aiyn Zahev's new soundset for Hive 1.2 to get an idea of how it sounds:

I don't know how "versatile" Hive is to someone else but I use at least one instance in almost every synth based track and usually more. It's often the first synth I reach for when starting a track.
So I guess you can say it's indispensable to me.
But as always try the demo for yourself. It's the only way you'll know for sure if you really like it or not.

Yeah Hive would be perfect for Deus Ex type of sounds.
OP, just download the demo and play with it to see if you like the sound.
I've owned Zebra and other U-He synths for years, and since I got Hive I use nothing else...

Welp, I got Hive...and damn I love it! Definitely my fav synth from U-he. I love the one page simple and fast to use layout! I also love the awesome UI design and the sound is ofc awesome. Watching the uhe tutorials atm, but yea, I just found my new fav soft synth hehe.pierb wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2019 6:14 pm Yeah Hive would be perfect for Deus Ex type of sounds.
