Perhaps they will down the road. I watched some of the videos from PA about bx_oberhausen and one guy mention the fact that PA is very much into modeling old hardware. That's what they often did when it comes to effects, EQ's, etc. I guess that's why they choose to model old synths instead of making a totally new creation.

I will say this one sounds very good, in fact, better than I expected it to.

for me it sounds far bether than the arturia sem. Have problems to compare same patches. Arturia adds the LFO2 modulation like the LFO1 modulation and Brainworx is doing it different. Haven't checked out, how they modulate LFO2 yet....

In most cases newer emulations are better than older emulations, so I expect that the Brainworx SEM will sound better/more accurate compared to Arturia SEM.
But I don't know if I really need a slightly better emulation of the SEM?

It really sounds great, but I think this is mainly because of the unison mode that makes everything sounds fat.
I would like to hear a comparison between the Arturia SEM and this one with the unison mode disabled.

It definitely does. Very fat and juice, and the filter just shouts "Oberheim". As i mentioned, the envelopes are a bit sluggish, and don't fit the otherwise great sound picture. Also, i think it takes too much CPU for the sound quality. For me, it's also too expensive. For 99 €, i might have thought about it, but, as some mentioned, if you have Diva, it's hard to justify. Although i must say that i like Oberhausen's filter a bit more than Diva's Uhbie filter. It's just more juicy, and less harsh. More like a Oberheim, from what i can judge from sound demos. Dunno if the SEM maybe had differen revisions, and different filter chips were used, which could explain the difference.

Frankly, i think this is a totally wrong point of view. Noone has to buy anything. As a customer, you are 100% responsible for what you buy

How many people have you seen lately dressed like in the middle ages? But they all did in the middle ages wearing silly hats and skirts and now people don't.

Hmm, 249 is quite high. The bx may have a "stronger signal" if you know what I mean, but I find the Arturia SEM more musical. And I only pay 250 bucks for stuff that is REALLY good and pretty unique.
