Show Frequency On Mouse Hover in Frequency Analyzer Windows

On hovering the mouse cursor over the display of MMultiAnalyzer, a small display shows the frequency/gain/pitch data next to the cursor.



I find this function to be extremely useful.
I often use MAutoDynamicEQ, MEqualizerLP, MSpectralDynamics but I just can't find how to turn this function on on their graph areas. Is this an option that's there but I can not find it, or this function is only available in MMultiAnalyzer?
I know that as soon as I grab an EQ band than this function is there but as a previous Fabfilter user I'm used to this "hovering" function, I think they implemented this function really well.
If this has not yet been added to other Melda plugins (like EQs with analysis/display graphs) would it be possible to add this function? Ideally it should be optional to switch it on or off.

(In Fabfilter's Pro Q EQ if you move/hover the mouse cursor on the display area, the frequency under the mouse cursor is shown in the frequency scale at the bottom of the display.



Also, if the piano display is enabled, the key under the mouse cursor is highlighted.



You can turn this feature on or off by clicking Show Frequency On Hover in the Help menu of Pro Q.)

Good question. As a workaround, if there's a band that you're not using (turned off/disabled), you could always use it with a narrow Q setting, and look at the display as you sweep around. Maybe not exactly what you want, especially if you're using all of the bands. But it'll work.

Since we're on this topic, I'd add that I really like similar functionality in the SIR analyzer which can automatically show frequency and note information directly above peaks. No hovering necessary! I would not complain if this was an option for Melda.

I remember this was possible with melda plugins too. I also remember that it gave me cancer because it moved and flipped so fast that it wasn't readable at all.

1.Click the settings menu on the analyzer area/ 2. Choose the Graphs Tab/ 3. You can turn on the Track Peaks there.

The field with freq/note is available in MAnalyzer and MAnalyzerMB, no in other plugins to reduce clutter since there's already way too much info.

Thank you for your answer, though if you don't mind I would like to disagree.

If the exact same MMultiAnalyzer frequency/gain/pitch data (see my screenshot) would be a clickable option (let's say just like "Track Peaks" in the Settings menu/Graphs Tab) in for example MAutoDynamicEQ that would be extremely helpful for some of us; it wouldn't make anything too cluttered for users who don't want to have this function; + most probably (but perhaps I'm wrong) importing the same code from MMultiAnalyzer wouldn't need too much coding time.


Anyway, I do hope that at some point this function will be implemented somehow + thanks for your great plugins.

+1 for having this on MAutoDynamicEQ at least let us choose if we want to have no clutter or incredibly useful information (depending on your point of view)

I don't see why would it bother people if they can turn this function off just like the "Track Peaks" function can be disabled in the Settings menu/Graphs Tab.
