Alt-key in T6 linux mint not working

I think this is something that has been fixed in a later version. I can't remember which one though.
Maybe try W10 and see if it's solved there?

Or on second thoughts, firstly make sure you don't have "auto-tempo" enabled for the clips in question. You can't manually stretch a clip if you've told it to automatically stretch to match the tempo.

Also make sue Alt isn't set on your system to start a window grab, iirc I had this problem with various daws and just disabled it in system keyboard shortcuts

Thanks for the quick answers.
1) I don't like waveform. It's far away from the tracktion main idea.
2) Auto-tempo is off.
3) The alt-key is disabled to call the menu. I'm on linux

But you gave me an idea, thanks!
I tried the windows-key (normally menu calling) and stretching works! When I disable it in the system (i don't use it too often) it's fine for me. But it's weird...

Alt is a reserved key in Linux Mint for scaling windows - you can disable it from Preferences/Windows:
