I haven't dabbled (or fiddled) with MSF much at all although I noticed what seems a strange representation of an envelope once the sustain is set at 0:
With still some sustain left:
With 0 sustain:
There's no audible peak at the start of the release isn't it ? Should the start of the release be connected instead to a point in the decay curve ?
Just wondering.
MSF: Envelope w/o sustain : release peak ? (WYSIWYH ?)

It becomes visable when sustain is at 0, so you get some sort of visual representation of what the release is doing. As you know, release is a time parameter not level. So there will be no change to the audio level, although that is kind of how it looks. It is simply a helpful feature that shows you the length and curve of the release, even when there is no sustain.

To establish a comparison, here's a 'typical' envelope curve as found used by many synths. This one here is from Rob Papen's Blue2. The X axis on envelope graphs is always, AFAIC, representing time.
As the sustain is dropped to 0, the release takes over and it's possible to see where in time the release ends (I've put a circle there). This graphical representation reflects what actually happens in reality with the sound. There are no peaks at the beginning of the release cycle.

Exactly! Plus the visual in Blue seems so tiny it is pretty useless (or a bug for some). But I agree that in our case it seems like a bug too, until you find what it is

Here's another example, this one with a release curve also. The first graph is so common, that the MSF one with the edged release curve that actually has no audio counterpart (there's no +dB peak heard as the MSF curve shows) will certainly come across as quite odd. Surely not if it had any physical (audio) meaning, but it does not.
So these curves are very common:
And in the case of Harmor (or more to the point perhaps the IL Line Editor) a release curve can be added and this curve will sound just exactly the same as what is seen. WYSIWYH:
