Is there a way to copy colours and paste them into the CP?
Drag n drop would be a good idea too.

You mean from outside MuLab? If so then copy the RGB value to the clipboard, right-click a color field in MuLab -> Edit RGB, then paste your copied RGB.

No. I mean within MuLab. I tried to copy an existing colour from a track to use on a rack but couldn't figure out how. Is that possible?

A track does not have a color of its own. It uses the color of the module (eg rack) it points to.
Yes you can drop a part or a module on a color component.
