I'm still testing it but it looks slightly pixelated to me on the text and other interface elements.

Can you post a screenshot comparing high- and low-res modes, please?

If possible, maybe do a detailed post (a video, perhaps? ) explaining the steps to achieve it and ask @mods to pin it?

You MAY not have to use Bitwig in low res mode to get your performance back.

What I found is that in Mojave at least, changing the Color Display Profile eliminates the performance hit between running Bitwig in low res vs high res.

VST still aren't as fast as I had it running in High Sierra on a 6.5 year old iMac, which is sad, but hey this is a step in the right direction at least. This problem isn't Bitwig specific, I experienced similar performance issues with VST in Reaper.

Try this:

System preferences -> Display -> Color, then choose an sRGB profile near the bottom.
