Well, even just talking about VST3, i don't get your point. Nothing has been taken away from the VST world.
not even the ability for new developers to legitimately make VST2 plugins? you might want to let all the dev forums know the good news.

How is that taking away from them, if they can develop VST3's? Every serious dev develops VST3's now. And every long term developer still has a license to develop VST2. Nothing is taken away.
