Hive 2 update price question

As I understand it Hive 2 will be a free update for those who bought the plugin after January 20th of this year. What if a user receives Hive in a license transfer after this date, will he have to pay the upgrade price?
Thanks

I would assume license transfer does not affect the original purchase date which is how they would qualify owners for the free update but good clarification I suppose.
Even if this wasn't the case, why would they tell us - we could organize a mass transfer and all qualify for free

Existing owners could game that system by transferring it to each other. And if that were disallowed then the owners could do a three way trade and so on. In any event I don't see a free upgrade happening since it's not new revenue and in fact lost revenue.

Hehehe, I hope no-one is expecting us to transfer V1 licenses after we release V2... or, even crazier, Hive 1 licenses after they were upgraded to V2

I also wanted to ask if there is a possibility it you would look into the keyboard problems I mentioned with Studio One"s virtual keyboard (another user had the same problems as he posted in that thread) where he was getting stuck notes, if the keyboard GUI wasn't above Hive. Or would Presonus need to address this issue?Urs wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 6:31 am Hehehe, I hope no-one is expecting us to transfer V1 licenses after we release V2... or, even crazier, Hive 1 licenses after they were upgraded to V2![]()

If I read that correctly, Tasmaniandevil (or head guy of software testing) attributed the issue to Studio One.GrandVelocity wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 6:42 amI also wanted to ask if there is a possibility it you would look into the keyboard problems I mentioned with Studio One"s virtual keyboard (another user had the same problems as he posted in that thread) where he was getting stuck notes, if the keyboard GUI wasn't above Hive. The reason may be that our software can respond to key events (e.g. browse presets or type in values). That's something that many plug-ins can do, and it's withing the specs. Hence if that's the reason, Presonus would need to address the issue, e.g. trivially by sending a note off when losing keyboard focus.
