Is there a shortcut in Waveform, that lets the cursor jump to the last stopp possition.
Every time I stop Waveform playing, I have to start from the beginning again.
Big mess when working on a special part of your track.

These are the only navigation commands that I am aware of below :_
Jump to the start - RTZ = home
Jump to Out-marker = shift + }
Jump to In-marker = shift + {
Jump to next marker = ]
Jump to previous marker = [
Jump to the start of selected clips or start = W
Jump to the end of selected clips or end = end
Jump back to cut point = page up,
Jump forward to cut point = page down,

You can set positions along the Marker track. These are numbered as you set them, but you can renumber them and rename them in the properties panel.classic wrote: Sun Apr 28, 2019 10:24 am Is there a shortcut in Waveform, that lets the cursor jump to the last stopp possition.

This allows you to type in the position number, press Enter, and be taken to that position in your song.
There are more details in chapter 10. Take note of using F10 to cycle through certain options before adding markers.

With the Marker mode in Bars&Beats, you can insert markers by just typing a number and pressing Enter.
The default for the Marker mode appears to now be Absolute Time, even if the time track mode is set to Bars&Beats. Additionally, using F10 to cycle the modes doesn't seem to return the Absolute Time only mode, so I think this might be a bug. I'll check it out more thoroughly and report or query it if it still looks like it is.

Isn't there a setting if you want it to return to start or not? Mine does not return to the beginning when I stop playback.

Click Options button.
Tick "Return cursor to start position when play stops".
Tick "Return cursor to start position when play stops".

I think that what the OP wants to do it's not to put the cursor in the beginning, just that part where you put the cursor and then press play and when you press stop the cursor takes back to the position that you left early.
Cakewalk does that, it's more easy to work with indeed.

That is what the setting does. It may not be worded exactly that way, but it's not easy to word succinctly.JohnNoizz wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 10:55 pm I think that what the OP wants to do it's not to put the cursor in the beginning, just that part where you put the cursor and then press play and when you press stop the cursor takes back to the position that you left early.

I just can't test it yet because I'm not at home right now but that's good to know!!!

No prob. Perhaps "Return cursor to last start position when play stops" sums it up better.
