Look, it was just a question. Maybe Sharooz could comment on this. I just want to know, before I invest in more stuff, if things like this won't happen again.ATS wrote: Tue Apr 30, 2019 7:23 amdermage wrote: Tue Apr 30, 2019 7:18 amLook at Sharooz avatar one page back, also he posts in the Zone thread. I'm not saying definite things here, but think for yourself.ATS wrote: Tue Apr 30, 2019 7:06 amI think they're also behind Audiaire Zone? Will that continue?!
Good I've hold back with buying any more stuff from them after Stacker.
This is something that could stop people from buying Zone the way you put it. I would be sure about something like that before posting.
so you don't know....

Now I didn't use my brain

So Audiaire seems to be Sharooz's company, but being his company doesn't mean that it'd have anything to do with Samplemagic.

Hi
Audiaire is independently funded by me and not affiliated with Sample Magic.
I have not owned Sample Magic for almost a year. If you read the newsletter email you’ll see there is an offer of a full refund or credit on Splice for anyone who purchased any Sample Magic plugin in the last six months.
There are absolutely no plans to discontinue any products on Audiaire. The two brands are not connected. Please consider your comments very carefully as untruthful and baseless claims are potentially slanderous and help nobody.
Thanks
Sharooz

Thanks for clarifying. Did not know sample magic was sold. Did only see the same name on both companies. Maybe the music radar article was also a bit misleading, as they only mentioned 3 months ago you as sample magic head honcho which made me think there may still be a connection.

Just to put your mind at ease, Audiaire is a completely separate company. It was founded by (and is run by) Sharooz, completely separately to Sample Magic.
The plugin(s) have been made by a completely different team (Sinevibes and Moditone), and our support is separate.
Audiaire only started in September and we have lots of plans for new releases and exciting ventures, so we hope that it's not going anywhere!

i hope you can understand why people might not see it the way you do.Sharooz wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 2:42 pm I can guarantee that Klip is absolutely not about to be discontinued.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Sample Magic is now part of Splice as has been widely reported over the past year. If you expect me to be responsible for everything that happens now I am no longer fully responsible for all decisions made on behalf of the company then perhaps you think I’m a magician? Or that I can change time and look into the future and predict future events? There is compensation in place for recent purchases which in my view is fair. The plugins will continue to work I imagine for a considerable time period. Especially Klip which is Kontakt based and has been tested in the very latest Kontakt update. Beyond that Sample Magic samples are cheaper and easier to obtain than ever before as a result of us teaming up with Splice.

No, I don't expect you to be responsible for everything that happens with SampleMagic after you ended your full involvement in it. You and I both agree that's unreasonable. You are indeed not a magician.
However, what I do expect from you is understanding of why people may be wary and bringing up SampleMagic. I also expect you to not attempt to shut down the conversation you don't like with vague legal threats.

if you could read my original post you’d see I was separating any suggestion that this decision has a bearing on Audiaire as had been suggested. I’m not attempting to “shut the conversation down” as you suggested. Thanks

Maybe things got lost in translation. "slander" is a legal term, and saying that people should "consider their comments very carefully" because they may be "potentially slanderous", to me, reads like a thinly veiled threat. As in, "watch what you're saying or we'll sue you for slander" type threat.
If you didn't mean it like that, my apologies.

I just want to know if there's a decent alternative to Stacker? Just looking for something super simple and quick for layering samples. And then also exports the "layered" wav files.
