One thing does not negate the other. It is perfectly possible to want a classic subtractive synth while also bemoaning the fact that comes in a wrapper, which some consider comes with a few disadvantages.chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 12:28 pm The funny thing which i just realized is... people always asked for a classic subtractive synth like this from NI, because, people always argued that it's the one thing missing. Now they release one, and people complain about the Reaktor requirement.
Personally, I love Reaktor, and just take it within my stride that certain of NI instruments and effects have to be loaded from within. That doesn't mean that I don't understand those who dislike it; Nor does it mean that I wouldn't prefer the option of standalone use (I still might be buy 'Driver' despite having it for free in 'Blocks' form
An unnecessary step is just that. And clearly NI are very aware when not to force users to jump through unnecessary hoops e.g Massive X = Plug-out
And there it is. Just like our buddy, pixel, you can't help but pull the 'You fools don't even know you're born', superiority card.
I'm one of a group of people here who was recording music when editing meant either getting out the chalk and razor blades, or having to re-do the take; and yet I don't begrudge anyone the right to speak out against even the simplest workflow redundancy, especially when it is so arbitrary

Yawnie McYawnson.
What's next? You try to tell me that self-entitlement attitude on the net only exists in my imagination? Or that it's normal that companies which do extraordinary well on the market, get rammed into the ground here when they release a new product?

BTW, i definitely consider myself superior to the (mostly same) users here, who cry over some minor things, when ANY new plugin is released. Of course i am superior to those. What a question. I wouldn't want to live like that, and destroy my life with things which will prevent me from doing 99% of the stuff i want to do.

Super eight is a reaktor core based instrument , the forthcoming massive 2 is not
Super 8 is loosely based on the jup 8 , alpha juno ( waveforms ) + prophet filter , the other is a wavetablesynth etc..

If you're tired, you could always just stop responding
If you want to speculate on what I might say next, then that's on you. However, just to help you out, I do think that some people have an attitude of self-entitlement, both on the internet and in 'IRL'.chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:16 pmWhat's next? They've not been rammed into the ground, here. Opinion seems divided. Some folk don't like the redundancy (Workflow, CPU etc) of arbitrary wrapper requirements. Some folk seem to not see the point in the synth. Some others can see it being useful, but probably aren't in a rush to buy it. And others seem to have a positive, albeit, lukewarm response. Some folk do some things, sometimes. Maybe stop generalisingchk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:16 pmOr that it's normal that companies which do extraordinary well on the market, get rammed into the ground here when they release a new product?
As for "companies which do extraordinary well on the market" : What does that even mean? Are you suggesting that their market success invalidates any contrary opinion? Or that it there success is a measure of them getting everything right?

You might want to get a little bit of perspective about what is being talked about, herechk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:22 pm BTW, i definitely consider myself superior to the (mostly same) users here, who cry over some minor things, when ANY new plugin is released. No. Just that there's a certain discrepancy between the feedback here, and the amount of people actually buying, and liking the products.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:40 pm As for "companies which do extraordinary well on the market" : What does that even mean? On the other side, there's one man businesses, which never will go beyond that, which notoriously get their butts licked here, just because they don't do sales. Which tells me that, mostly, it's not about the quality of the products, but, about ideology, and politics.
Not that that surprises me, really. It's the same with - Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook... you name them.

To be fair, unless you have inside information about the company, you really don't know how well they do. But more specifically, you have no idea how well Super 8 will be received. It may turn out to be a failure in terms of sales. We just have no way of knowing.chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:53 pmNo. Just that there's a certain discrepancy between the feedback here, and the amount of people actually buying, and liking the products.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:40 pm As for "companies which do extraordinary well on the market" : What does that even mean?
