I would have expected this to come with Komplete Select, looks like it could act as an entrypoint to newer people. Could it be that this will be a single until K 13 comes and then be included somewhere in the ecosystem?

It's going to be in some form of Komplete at some stage - the question is whether it's in the full monty Ultimate or the cheaper bundles. But it's going to take at least a year to get there given that Massive X isn't out yet (and for K13 to turn up this year would be well ahead of the usual schedule).

Gamma - agreed, my money would be for K13 to be next September, a long way off. Personally I’ve never seen a synth more obviously “nice to have” than “need to have” than Super 8.
Whilst we’re all arguing about Reaktor, are they ever going to integrate the tag browser do we think, or is it forever going to be tied to the horror show Komplete Kontrol? A synth in a wrapper in a wrapper IS pretty clumsy.

IMO Tyrell N6 is more or less abandoned.Teksonik wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 11:13 pm I think the point being missed here is that no synth lives in a vacuum. Any product is naturally going to be compared to what else is available.
When you compare Super 8 which requires Native Access and at least the Reaktor Player and costs $69 to something like Tryell N6 for example which is free, requires no extra fluff, and sounds awesome....well I'll let the reader take it from there.
It's not the Reaktor requirement so much as the requirement for this particular synth. I was wondering out loud earlier if Super 8 were free would I bother installing the Reaktor player on my studio computer just to run it ? I'm afraid the answer is no. I'd install the player in a heartbeat for something that excites me but I've just got too many other synths to bother with any extra kludge for a synth like this.
But I'm sure N.I. will sell a bunch because "analog" so god bless 'em.....![]()

1. When opening reaktor by default you have a browser opened and you can see all the reaktor instruments meaning no need to surf and search
2. With the latest version reaktor opens automaticly last play instrument. When i open reaktor it automaticly opens Super 8
3. In basicly every daw you can make a snapshot of instrument preset. I have made that with reaktor instruments and if i want Form or Monark or anything else i just select from favorite window in FL studio.
4. Browsing presets and managing them is actually easier then in Dune 3

Did it cease to work though?... and what do you expect to be implemented to Super 8 in the future „to keep it current“?IMO Tyrell N6 is more or less abandoned.
While we're at abandonware... NI has a pretty large track record of abandonware themselves (that's still gets dragged along inside Komplete or separate purchases).
If they at least updated the GUIs so they aren't so fiddly to use at current screen resolutions, but no.
Which is just sad, because up until 2005-2006 or so they were ahead of the game with pretty much everything they released as far as i'm concerned.
Now they still have one or two great products on the very top of the game, but contrary to the competition they were more or less resting on their laurels for the most part.
Of course Reaktor is still pretty much unmatched in what it offers, but most of their other updates were more concerned about adding and handling payware sound expansion packs instead of really pushing their products even further, improve workflow, or at least update the aforementioned GUIs to current standards that most of the better one or two men companies took care of long ago.
rant over

Most VSTs are wrapped. Some wrap a VST2 into VST3 or the other way around, than you have it wrapped into Juce, which is a wrapped C++ which is wrapped assembler...
For the end user its just hidden. That this one is in Reaktor has more advantages as I pointed out already, at least if you have a full version of Reaktor, you can change it yourself. You get the (wrapped) sources with it. Its not free software, but has much more freedom than a VST could have (unless its open sourced like Surge).

I was wondering why the person who made the video didn't notice, and just left it that way. I always listen back to my tracks of music or presets I made many times over to get it how I'd want, so it seems strange.Biome_Digital wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 12:22 pmDid get this clicking as well while playing and it wasn't wantedExamigan wrote: Thu May 02, 2019 11:25 pm Sounds pretty good, but was I the only one hearing that clicking sound? Was it because of the envelope settings? I should just get the demo version and check it out myself.![]()

Actually you do, but since it is all being 'baked' right into the exported DLLs it is much less of an issue than in the Reaktor case where nothing goes unless you have the 'editor' (i.e. Reaktor itself) installed.

Not in this case - it looks and feels like a wrapper in a wrapper.
Now, I personally wouldn't care but especially the 2nd wrapper - Komplete Kontrol - is a Komplete Disaster, and always has been. Thankfully some enterprising soul has hacked a way to get the UI to be a usable size, but a) its a hack still not supported by NI, unbelievably and b) it still is lacking basic functionality that was apparent on day 1 of release (eg no way to list results orderd by synth, so you end up having to wait 10 secs between presets or use those cumbersome preview files).
I've no ideological axe to grind here. If Reaktor 6.4 came with the tag browser built in - every Reaktor preset has tags after all, it shouldn't be rocket science - where you could search your entire Reaktor library in one hit, I'd be instantly using it 1000% more. You can't even do this in Komplete Kontrol however, as there's no way to search for all Reaktor libraries - its literally all or one.
If I'm up for a programming session, it's no bother at all to load any of these synths in Reaktor of course, but in general day-to-day I-need-an-X-sound-right-now use, the extra hoops compared to other plugins just mean it gathers virtual dust for me most of the time.
