I just did another video on MSoundfactory and this time I'm going over the additive module. This is actually quite similar to the modal filter, but offers some noticeable differences as well. Check it out and if you have any questions let me know down below.

Nice video Chandler.
Is there a way that we can draw the partials' overall shape in MSF so that it almost looks like an envelope?

What do you mean by "looks like an envelope"? You can adjust the individual partials however you like and you can modulate each one.

I guess that a few things have me confused.
1. I thought that the Harmonics located in the tab below the Structure tab would represent the harmonics of A within the Structure tab. What is their relationship?
2. Structure tab - revisiting this tab, I now see that the harmonics are tuned to harmonic series the by default and am beginning to catch on a bit.
2b. Structure tab - Spectrum graph - this is where I was expecting to find a bar graph representation (what I mistakenly called envelope looking, forgive me, I work way too many hours and don't always express myself clearly.) which is how many additive synths display harmonics (partials). I think that I would like an option to fill the space below the harmonic 'point' AND have some space above the point in order to envision their relationships a little more clearly.

1) The harmonics below the structure tab fuction as a sort if mask for the structure. It can alter what is in the structure and let you modulate it. The actual harmonic structure is determined by what is defined in A,B,C or D.

2). Yes by default they are tuned to the harmonic series, however the volume of each harmonic is equal which isn’t usual the case with real sounds

2b). The reason they aren’t bars is because they represent not only volume but also pitch. The y axis represents the volume of each harmonic and the x axis represents the pitch. Bars wouldn’t be able to be seen because there would be too much overlap.

It would be nice to be able to apply an envelope to the harmonic volumes as a group instead of having to adjust each one individually.

Is there no way to adjust the individual phase of each harmonic? To create a saw wave, I am wanting to invert the phase of each even number harmonic and then apply 1/x (where x = the number of the harmonic) to the harmonic level (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc.).

This could get messy/ guessy without a formula or the ability to draw a shape.

Once I've done that, I can then turn off all of the even number harmonics and get a decent square wave without diving into Fourier expansion.

So the structure can be seen as a filter on the harmonic level that can be morphed through its 4 banks. Can mouse movement be mapped/ automated? Can we apply a shape that can be synced or tempo based without 'drawing' with the X-Y knobs? Would be cool to draw a spiral that began at the center and moved out (or the opposite direction).
