I don't get it, those images look exactly like BWS 2 to me....

What's almost even more important to me: So far it seems that they seriously improved macOS performance, at least according to my very scientific testing method: 60 tracks with 5min of audio loops + 20 tracks of MIDI (2x DIVA, 18x Serum). Scrolling and zooming is still very smooth, no stuttering during playback. Very impressive :)

I swear, every time I "definitely & finally have decided to stick with Live, really this time" the only serious contender in terms of workflow improves on the few small annoyances that kept me away... ;)
^^^ Legato clips also been added, just saying

Mac-specific performance improvements were a noted addition to the previous 2.* update. There is no mention of them in the update notes for this version (3.0), which leads me to believe you are experiencing the improvements from the previous update; go look at the release notes and you'll see what I mean, they single out mac performance improvements specifically.

Somewhat related, since you're on a mac -- are you not getting the fan-constantly-running-on-high issue that seems to plague most Mac users of BWS ?

Excited to download and play with this tonight, but I imagine the Mac fan issue is still a thing, sooooooo

:tu: Reworked audio backend.
Amazing update !
For all the CV stuffs, modular sequencing and synthesis explorations, it's a blast !

They got rid of some of the 3d stuff... It's flatter, cleaner and easier on the eyes.

I predict: we will see a lot of interesting grid devices : physical modeling and sequences things....

So far I'm not... but I'm just playing around on one or two tracks and exploring the Grid.

Indeed. If this could be shared in one place, say Bitwig site when you log in, it would be fantastic

You can say that again.

Very intuitive and inviting. Plus it has the Phase Osc from Phase-4 and the full Sampler Osc (including multi-samples). Suddenly it is easy to build my own Samplers! This is so sweet! Wanna bit crush the samples before going to the filter? add an extra Highpass filter? Use 2 sample Osc's? All easy as can be... with polyphony, voice stacking and MPE!

Don’t forget all bitwig users will be networked soon :D now we have the Grid, I believe all of the teams early promises on what will come....

3.0 runs a lot better for me than 2.5.1, so although they did not specifically mention it, I would have assumed the performance improvements on macOS are part of "General user interface overhaul" and "Reworked audio backends: (...) CoreAudio (...)" (as the notes focused primarily on The Grid).

Interestingly enough though, I never experienced any fan-running issues with BWS (or Live, which I also read a lot about).
Frequently changing DAW of choice...

Didn't even occur to me that there were some included examples. I just started from init and was making cool stuff in no time.
