Melda 13 look

Hi. I still got the problem that eg. when I open MTurboReverbMB or other Melda Plugins that - if I change something with metering or else - the window-size permanently changes by itsself. Often this results into partly zoomed out Melda-Windows off-screen. Can´t establish a fixed size. Especially the wideness to the left and right is a big problem. Melda did adress that problem and it should be fixed some time ago, so it reads in a former update-description, but no. Problem still unsolved. Of course I can screw down to 100% GUI size and below but the text is getting too small than.

Maybe I overlooked a little checkbox somewhere? Help is appreciated. Thnak you.

Regarding the light grey Display areas: in the Style Configuration window change the Background colour to dark grey or black.

The knobs don't look so out of place now. This wont distract me at all.

In fact, everything on that top GUI looks fine at the moment, except maybe the splodge of pink in the middle.
Personally I think colour coding the bands cheapens the look of the plugins. I think the saturation up there should be a lot lower than the rest of the plugin, because that is a working area and we need see things behind there, without being constantly reminded of the colour.

So i think, in general, low saturation works a lot better on Melda plugins

In Neon, the light grey background is used for all "Display" elements - the meters, time-graphs, transformation shape graphs, band editors etc. It is built into the Neon Style and can be altered only in the Textured Style Editor, not by users. Edit: but the Background colour can affect it.

Copying / renaming the StyleSettings_v11.cfg files so that the Titanium style is used will, I think, use the Titanium v13 style. You might need to reinstall v12, copy the Titanium style to say Titanium_v12, then reinstall v13.
Here, the Styles are in: C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction\MTexturedStyles. It should be OK; but proceed at your own risk.

This is a typical behaviour for the Melda plugins isn't it. Changing size to adapt to chosen options. In Bitwig under Linux, minimizing the plugin and bringing it back implies the closing of the UI and the reopening with dimensions that the plugin communicates to Bitwig so that Bitwig knows what size of a window it should allocate. At least that's how I see it, partly confirmed by Bitwig support. As a counter example, Harrison Mixbus32C does not close the UI on minimizing, so minimizing has no effect on the updated plugin size and thus limits the use of Melda plugins to only but the basics. Unless one is willing to close down Mixbus32C and restart it. In which case the plugin will be shown with its proper new size.

On Bitiwg I regularly, upon choosing new options, minimize the plugin and bring it back so that it reflects the new size fully. Just a few clicks, no problem.

That the plugin UI exceeds the screen size, that happens extremely rarely, if at all. I use the plugins at 100%, 110% UI size and drag to enlarge the size when needed (dragging which is followed by minimizing and bringing it back to view).

I used to have 140%, 150% default sizes, but then I switched to Xubuntu which uses Xfce, a not-so-fancy desktop manager when compared to KDE with very good benefits: not being fancy, with all the composite and all the fancy fade ins and outs and all that, it has a crisper edge, a sharper definition and is more responsive. With the net result that the Melda plugins are comfortable to use at 100/110%.

Exactly. The plugins automatically detect minimum sizes of each elements and compose the resuting GUI from it. When there's some long name/units, things can get bigger.

I really find it sweet looking now, excellent actually. Very clean interface and clear harmonious colours.
Maybe the knobs do look a bit wobbly but I don't care (wouldn't have thought about it if it hadn't been mentioned) and I do see the point of clearly animating their turning.

As a side note - many plugins like MTurboDelay and MSpectralDelay have become incredibly creative tools with their Macro knobs/Active presets. I've pretty much gone hardware but found that treating my jams with these brings great results.
