Hmmm. Thanks. Not really important at this stage, since I am downloading the Elements 30 day trial, just to get an idea of how the program runs on a Mac, and how I like the workflow. Last time I tried Cubase, it was midi only Cubasis, circa 1999, and it was buggy as hell.

Bought this today via Sweetwater. The download code doesn't work.
I'm livid. f**k sweetwater for all of time, apparently can't be trusted for something quite this sophisticated.
no one works there on saturday, either.

I remember having problems with the "code" but can't remember how I resolved it (a while ago). I remember it took persistence though. I can guarantee you sweetwater will resolve it come Monday.

Ya bought Pro, the $200 was for both the crossgrade and USB key. I trialed elements because I didn't need the usb key. Steinberg knows DAWS are getting more competitive, not less, and the rate they pump out meaningful updates with reasonable upgrade prices, they're making the right move at the right time.felis wrote: Sat May 11, 2019 9:57 pmPsuper wrote: Sat May 11, 2019 4:56 pm Trialed Elements, workflow gelled instantly, everything worked as I expected, 192k 64 bit test smooth as can be, advanced setup was easy. Looked at what a $200 (including the key) crossgrade from Reason would get me... insta buy.
What country are you in? Elements shouldn't be that expensive.
Normal price in the US is $99, the 50% off price is $50, and they don't show any crossgrade options for Elements.

Maybe you got the Pro version? https://www.steinberg.net/en/shop/buy_p ... ro-10.html
Been eyeing Cubase for a long time, especially now as a replacement for the pitch and midi editing part of my workflow I used to do with Reason, and with all the VST goodies and core DAW features its a no brainer, I may even pause using Reaper...
Have you tried Vital?

Ok - when you said you tried Elements, I thought that was what you bought.Psuper wrote: Sat May 11, 2019 4:56 pm Ya bought Pro, the $200 was for both the crossgrade and USB key. I trialed elements because I didn't need the usb key. ....
$200 for Pro 10 and a usb key is a super deal.

Same problem here but I bought it via JRRShop. I guess the provided Access Codes by Steinberg are just not activated yet. The error message that I get for the provided AC is different than to the message of a totally wrong AC. But that is just a guess.jancivil wrote: Sun May 12, 2019 12:33 am Bought this today via Sweetwater. The download code doesn't work.

I bought my upgrade for Studio One 4 at Audio Deluxe a while ago so they already had a serial for it. I also went there to buy Cubase Pro 10 cross grade and my guess is that they already sent over my SO4 license proof to Steinberg because I got my Cubase license with no questions asked.

I had a similar issue last time, Steinberg staff helped me by advising to download the latest synchrosoft update and it worked. Hope you didn't get a wrong type of key though.

At the Steinberg.net another such report, this from a card in the boxed product, sealed, bought via Amazon. So it's probably not any individual vendor. I leaped to the notion it was a used code, a bit paranoiac. I tampered with it a little and got 'there is no such access code'... which is a different error, yes.KXN wrote: Sun May 12, 2019 4:14 amSame problem here but I bought it via JRRShop. I have found Sweetwater customer service to be outstanding and surprisingly so. Perhaps as you say they are out of office, I don't know their hours. Hopefully they will straighten it out with Steinberg asap.jancivil wrote: Sun May 12, 2019 12:33 am Bought this today via Sweetwater. The download code doesn't work.

EDIT: Actually might be an issue with Steinberg servers.

Cubase works very well on Macs. I have been using it on Intel based Mac since 8.x. I know they say it's designed to work more reliably on Windows, but I have had no issues on OS X.
