It was a little off putting to me that Albion V only has a single velocity layer, is Albion ONE better in that regard?

Albion V is very focused on the Edge of Silence Scandi Sound which might be why it was recorded that way. Can't speak for the others.

I was curious and opened the edit page for the Strings High - Main patch in Kontakt. It seems there are anywhere from 2 to 3 velocity layer groups per long articulation with 1 additional round robin group for each velocity. Short articulations seem to have a single velocity layer with up to 5 round robins from what I can tell.

And also, if you brought a competing DAW through 2nd sale on forums, is it treated any differently?

A copy of your purchase receipt for the original license or the most recent update/upgrade
Or a screenshot of your product registration
Or a photo of your package (either CD/DVD or printed manual), with the unique serial number included in the photo.
