Is there a way to extend/double the length of a curve ?

Wouldn't that be possible with the next 'step' so to speak right after the one you are showing ? Once a decision is made about which type of sequence, in then goes back to the window from which the step sequencer editing was called.

In that original window the 'Step' knob is then used to put the amount of the new curve, and then the Skew and other 3 parameters can be adjusted, from the 'Advanced Settings' Something like, after the choice was made:

new to this too, so fwiw:

Besides mixing up the various repeat types, the only other way I know to "edit" the step shapes is to use the Advanced Window options, which are really powerful… if nothing like what you're asking for (would be sweet!)

Have you tried drawing the curve in the Custom Shape tab instead of using the Step Sequencer tab?

I am using the curves in the stepsequencer ,because that's what I want to use as a modulation source

Anyway I still haven't found a solution , the posted examples don't do it
The steps are always locked/quantised to the x-axis position (defined by the number of steps )
You can put three ramp waves into a single step , but you can't put/expand a single ramp over the length of 3 steps ...
So maybe a future request

Just for learning purposes, what is the audio result that is wished with such an approach ? Also, what would be for instance a modulation target modulated by such a curve ? You seem to have a very clear 'picture' of what result you want, can you describe this result with words ?

I don't think you fully understand what I am saying , it's abasic thing really
You are asking what an (exponential) curve can be used for , well to modulate everything really
Using a stepsequencer ( whic is in fact a user wave lfo ) can be used for any modulation target.
A step that has the a 1,5 length could be considered a dotted note , having this possibilty in the stepsequener/curve editor we can create some nice rhtyms

Here I am using a stepsequencer lfo (with curves) to modulate the oscilator transform depth

Yes, this is a serious question. In other words if you prefer, what effect would the unlocking on the x-axis (eg. "The steps are always locked/quantised to the x-axis position") achieve in terms of modulation of an audio source ? Especially perhaps in the light of the two examples above showing part of a curve extending, x-axis wise, much longer than other steps.

I've listened to the audio example. Was the audio example done using a synth that allows for the capabilities you are asking here ?

It was all done with MSF , one oscilator , one stepsequencer , and a frequency shifter +delay

LIke I said , unlocking the x axis doesn't necesarilly mean the sequencer (which is an advanced lfo ) is unquantised , we can still quantise it from the lfo page .
It would just give more freedomm is the placement of curves , and back to my initial question , 1 decaying curve over the length of 3 steps .
MSF does not have an multistage envelope , which would also solve this problem

OK, although as far as I see it, it seems that the leftmost part of the wave in stepseqskew2.jpg above extends way much more than the compressed portion to the right.
