So, I loaded up Sylenth and got a message asking if I wanted to update Sylenth or not. I downloaded the update, and the update went totally fine. But when I load up Sylenth1 now I just get an error message saying "Error loading skin 'Thrackeray'. This version of Sylenth1 requires skin version v3000. You are trying to load an incompatible skin (v3045)." After pressing "OK" it says the same message but instead of "skin Thrackeray" it says "skin Classic" or something like that. After pressing "OK" once again, it just loads up a totally broken version of Sylenth (see picture). Is there anything I can do to fix this? Because I love the plug-in so much... If you know what to do, please reply!

it's good in these situations to provide more specific information about your operating system and such.
did you restart your machine?

Sorry for not mentioning that... I've restarted my PC twice and Sylenth's still not working as it should... I'm using Windows 10 home 64-bit, and I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with my PC that have caused this problem.

I just installed the Sylenth 1 update (Win 10 Pro 64 bit FL Studio 20.1.2 64 bit) and it looks like something in the update might have broken the Thackery skin.

Sylenth 1 loads just fine but when I choose the Thackery skin and reload the plugin it reverts back to the default Apox skin.

You could try removing the Thackery skin from the skin folder, restart FL Studio then reload Sylenth.

is there a skin folder on windows?
on osx as far as i knew, all the guis are built into the plugin?

ah, no, there not built in, they're just not conventional JPEGS and stuff... just found the skins folder...

Documents / Lennard Digital / Sylenth 1 / Skins

( at least on this Win 10 system)

Actually on further attempts the Thackery skin will load/reload so not too sure what's going on. :?

Still couldn't hurt to try moving that skin out of the folder just to see if it helps.

Anyway Sylenth 3.055 works fine here set to Free size (165%) using the Apox skin.

But I also get a message saying that it couldn't load the classic skin either (see picture), so I believe it won't work even if I remove the Thackery skin...

Apox for life baby!

sorry, i know i'm not helping, but the Thackery skin loads ok on OSX (v3.056) in every DAW I couldn't care to name.
i don't have a Windows machine to test it on my apologies.

I solved it after looking at this thread! viewtopic.php?f=94&t=523402

All I had to do was to reinstall Sylenth... Now it works perfectly! Thank you guys for trying to help me! :)

Actually, the issue puzzled me, because i have no problem using the Thackeray skin in version 3.0.55.

Hi,

You've installed v3.055, but you're still running v3.041 (or older). Which means you have multiple installations of Sylenth1 in your VST folders.
Uninstall Sylenth1, then search all your VST folders for leftover files named Sylenth1.dll and delete them all. Then start your DAW to make sure Sylenth1 is gone. If not, go back to searching and deleting again until it's gone.

After that re-install the latest version.

You're a little bit late... :) I've already solved it, but I did exactly like you said.
