It would be nice to have visual feedback when a "Per Voice Modulation Source" is in use.
(Light up, color change, button or something like that).
For example like how it's done when using modulation from the Utility section.
Also : When a modulator from utility mode is used, it is not shown in the modulation button pop-up window. I can see the modulator in action, but when i open the pop-up it's not showing there.

Cool device. I like how you used a different panel to make the background grey. I almost forgot about that. I'll be sure to use it in the future. The presets should demonstrate fun ways this can be used.

Silly question: People keep pasting presets and examples here in plain text. How do I open these inside MXXX/MSF to check them out? How do I create a plain text version of one of my presets to paste here?

Not silly! You use the icons highlighted in the screen grab below, in the Toolbar, which copy whatever you've got loaded, or replace that when you paste. Here you click the icon in the full reply editor, and paste into the space between the code brackets, in the usual way.
This process works for GPresets and Devices, but doesn't seem to capture Device Presets, which can be found in the system folder for MSF (Windows:
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction\MSoundFactoryInstruments
OSX: HOME/Library/Application support/MeldaProduction/MSoundFactoryInstruments), and zipped for attaching here, to supplement a code paste for a device that has presets.

A few more silly questions:
1) Is there a way to quickly copy multiple modules in the main MSF grid/matrix and paste them into a Modular block? Some of my presets have exploded a bit and I need to do some housekeeping.
2) Is there a way to easily see what parameters have been assigned as multiparameters? I'd like to study the preset that Tyler posted above and he has tons assigned as multiparameters but there's no quick way to see visually (as far as I know) which knobs and functions have been assigned as MPs, is there? Would be nice if these got some kind of box around them or something (obviously it needs to be possible to turn this feature off as it would be annoying as hell). Or perhaps when you touch the control, the long MP list moves by itself and highlights the assignment.

I've just been wondering about housekeeping BPractices in my Devices lists, too… As for Grids, I don't see any copy/paste icons (the same as in the Toolbar, which do show up in lots of other places) for these, so I'd guess that saving grid Presets is the way to go, maybe ONLY way…

Here's a couple of posts recently posted in other Melda-Forum threads, that seem at least a little relevant, here, too, so… (I'll certainly delete here if anyone considers it off-topic [ie. not about the design of Factory-headed Devices], but I'm curious if anybody else DOES feel these are relevant design-for-MSF ideas—and if maybe I can drum up a little further interest in the Exchange—Discuss thread this started in.)
If the Device was made for you only or for possibly sharing freely, if you ever want to add new stuff to it, just do it and save a new one! Won't hurt the old one. To me, the greatest feature of devices is that you can make presets just for them, so the only requirement for a GPreset being worth making into a device is if it's capable of making MANY different sounds (which you can load into it much faster than GPresets load), not just the ones you've saved GPresets for from it. And the main other thing the Easy Screen does for you is put all the most important controls for your most interesting grids onto one screen, with maybe a few tabs, instead of scattered all around in dozens of panels and popups, with endless other parameters you may never need. So, efficiency AND creative focus. Along with a few totally cool unique features, like focused randomizing and quick-draw bar-graph controls, NOT available in EDIT mode.
All the "study and follow the requirements" and "wait til it's finished" sort of posts and comments are only about devices being sent to Vojtech, to see if they pass his judgement on them as suitable for use by the LE- and Player-version users, with no edit screen access, and presumed to be wanting nothing more than medium-complexity devices, each one narrowly focused on just a few sound types.
But we OWNERS of the full version have no such limitations. And while we're of course fascinated to see what brilliant things all the Melda MP experts will come up with, we don't need to approach making our own-use devices with anything like the same "requirements" and standards that the for-the-factory builders have to keep in mind.
Bottom-line points:
1. An MSF device is how MSF becomes a specific synth (not nec. specialized, but potentially multi-purpose), with its own unique features AND Presets, rather than an endlessly complex tool for building specific synths.
2. A quick, thrown-together device that lets you focus on your cool new grid arrangement without distractions, and save DPresets for it, is totally worth learning to make and doesn't need any of the polish and ease of use restrictions Factory Devices do. To be honest, I still am not into making those devices but I will learn more over time. I still don´t trust the system 100%. What if I made a device and later I want to add a tonload of new modules and modulations?

Here's a little quick-made device w/no presets yet, but ready for them, borne out of a quick check-out of the Cab module (LOVE it), and of whether an MP can capture Easy Screen presets from Rhythmatizer and Wobbler Ex (yes!).
I dunno if it's Exchange worthy as is. But I'm certain it's already fun, and with plenty of possible variations worth saving as DPresets, so it's also a pretty good test of the usefulness of making and sharing Devices as simple as this, not for the Factory Device Collection, perhaps, but just amongst full-version owner/users…some of whom might like to create some Presets for it and share those as Exports, then zipped attachments, here. Or anywhere MSF'ers gather.
It's the sort of potential sharing community that appeals to me; anybody else?

Sure it can be edited; that's what the Editable "tag" is for. The main concern with editing a device is that any existing presets it has will very likely sound different when it gets new MPs, or more likely, when the original MPs are moved to different slots in the MP list to accommodate additions. The presets make their changes to whatever is in the slot stored in the preset if they can, so if you've got a lot of presets it makes sense to work on a new saved device copy, and make new presets or re-make the old ones…or whatever workflow makes sense to each builder. This is my understanding anyway; no doubt there are additional factors and depths here I know nothing about, but these basics I'm pretty clear on.
