About the string module
It's really anoyying that the initial attack portion of the transient is not low pass filtered .
When setting lowpass to 20 hz , the noise is still coming trough in FULL force

It would be great if we had an attack/decay control over the noise section

IMHO , we get better results by just using the noise module into an envelope into a delayline , altough it's difficult to accurately control the delaytime by pitch input .

Use the resonator. It is the same as the string module but without the exciter. You can then make your own exciter with anything like noise, sine sweep, sample.

Nice , I must have looked over that module :)

About building our own karplus strong structure
I am still struggling to control the delay modules time accurately from the key scale 1/2 and frequency as modulation source .
None of these seem to yield chromatic results , the scaling which is in percentage doesn't make it easier

If you try to build it yourself it will go out of tune. Karplus-strong needs some extra compensation, to stay in key as you increase the octaves. The resonator has this done already, so you don’t have to do it yourself.

No it doesn't ,karplus is just a tuned (feedback )delay line with a lowpass filter in the feedback loop for damping .
I created a perfectly fine tuned karplus strong algo in reaktor .

It's just a matter of converting your midi notes ( log ) to frequency/hertz .
Take the reciprocal for freq---> time to control the delay time :tu:

Right, but how to convert log to exponential into Msf?
I find the Msf resonator module doing is job quite well, just damp the feedback to your convenience or add some mod filter before or after.

That's what I said, you need to adjust your midi notes so they don't go out of tune. You can try to build it yourself if you want. There are a lot of math functions, so you can try to convert it properly and maybe it will work. I'd just use the karplus-strong module that is already included, but it you want to experiment go ahead.
