Just a few questions Urs, will the upgrade price always be 20€, or is it a special "intro" price for a short period? I think Hive 1 still gets me covered but I might eventually upgrade in the future.
Also, will the Hive 2 license replace Hive 1 license in my u-he account?
Thanks!

What a wonderful upgrade! Like many others in this thread I feel it's also a terrific bargain! I'm loving exploring the new modules and new presets.
I installed the upgrade on a 2009 MacBook Pro running El Capitan, and a 2010 iMac running High Sierra with absolutely no problems
Manual typo note: On page 31 the arrows in the illustration pointing to the slot modifiers rectification and quantization are reversed.

The upgrade won't go up from 20€. It's not a time limited offer, but I guess in a few years it'll be available "on request". That means, we won't keep the PDF in the download forever. Maybe a year or two.hhuang9611 wrote: Sat May 25, 2019 10:04 pm Just a few questions Urs, will the upgrade price always be 20€, or is it a special "intro" price for a short period? When you get the upgrade you'll have both licenses in your account for a while. At some point we'll run a script that removes Hive 1.x serials from accounts which have upgraded. Again, should anyone ever need a Hive 1.x serial back, we can of course issue one.

The mod matrix scale quantizer and In Scale Transpose is so good. Having some slow and shimmering overtone series triangle wave highpassed/bandpassed on top of some deep drone is something else. I didn't know i wanted this so much.
Another thing i really really like is ability to self trig. Being able to run itself without MIDI (and then modulating the volume with FGs and all that) takes this synth into modular territory (if not technically, so at least in approach and how i think about sound design).
Agree that it would be good to have Shape and FG presets. And definitely another filter or two. I love how i don't get drowned in filter choices but still, all this new capability really calls out for a couple new filters imo.
Fantastic synth.

Purchased the upgrade using the PDF. Key was issued immediately and Hive 2 is up and running beautifully. The new GUI is beautiful. Thanks Urs and team. U-he synths just keep getting better and better.

Trust me, you don't need Hive 1 anymorehivkorn wrote: Sun May 26, 2019 11:24 am I don t try it yet , is there a way to keep v1 and v2 on the same computer ?
(The Upgrade PDF has some instructions on demoing Hive 2)
We don't think it's necessary and we haven't tested it yet. We'd be happy to add it if people really need it, and if we can measure a real difference.HcDoom wrote: Sun May 26, 2019 2:55 pm Does Hive 2.0 support multicore as for example Repro and Diva?

I purchased Hive from an online retailer on May 24, 2019 and requested my email license from U-He which read:
Hive serial number:
(serial is given here)
I don't seem to fit the suggested outcome of the pdf of being issued a Hive 2 license automatically. When will I be issued a Hive 2 serial? I can only use it in demo mode right now. Thanks!
