Hey everyone! This is my first post, clearly.. . I'm somewhat new to tracktion,,, i've been using the demo for a few months trying to get a good feel of whether or not I want to invest in it (i'm pretty careful with money).. I love it lots... it accomplishes a lot while being pretty user freindly...
anyway: my problem.
I've been using reaktor 4 in tracktion as a vst ever since I downloaded the tracktion demo.. Tracktion does make me reload every single reaktor vst every time I load a song but thats not a very big deal. What happened today is different. \
I was using a pretty cpu intensive reaktor synth in tracktion when, for the first time, I had a cpu spike and reaktor automatically stopped its audio. Everything was fine, but now, when tracktion is not in play mode, none of the vst synths in it, including the built in sample, accept midi notes of any kind... wether or not from my external controller, or even just pressing keys on the piano roll with my mouse.
For me to be able to just play the keyboard with a synth in tracktion, the program has to be in play mode... which is incredibly undesirable to me for a lot of reasons... and is not something a decent program should have happen to it.
I've tried reinstalling the demo... that didnt do it... Any help or advice or whatever would be greatly appreciated. If this is mentioned somewhere else on this board... i'm really sorry, but hey...
thanks

Wassup. Anytime you have a CPU overload, Tracktion automatically switches off the "end-to-end". So all you have to do to be able to preview synths ect is turn "end-to-end" back on. The button is in the lower right corner right below the "click" button. Hope that helps.hackmaster_12 wrote:
