drewfx - Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for.
jmg8 - I don’t know exactly how it works, but I’m pretty sure it works just like in C++. I’ll try to look it up later and see.

One thing that I've noticed while playing with TurboFilter is that (sometimes) the Analog knob lives up to its name a bit too much.
Set an Oscillator up to feed TF.
Use drewfx's formant filter:
Parallel[
bp(f*300/440 + (c<0 ? (c*-90) : (c*-30));q);
Serial[bp(f*870/440 + (c<0 ? (c*-1120) : (c*1420));q);Level(-16 + (c<0 ? (c*4) : (c*-5)))];
Serial[bp(f*2240/440 + (c<0 ? (c*-310) : (c*770));q);Level(-40 + (c<0 ? (c*-16) : (c*15)))]
];Level(q*20)
Set the Character and Q knobs to modulate with LFO 1.
Move the Analog knob while playing a note = instant tuned dirty pot!

I can give you the formula, but a couple of points, particularly if you're intending to use it as you described earlier:jmg8 wrote: Mon May 27, 2019 8:08 am So, does anyone know if it is possible to set min and max values for the frequency?
If so, how would it be written in the syntax?
Lowpass(fmin200max2000)
I noticed in the help text, there is a reference to min and max but not yet sure how to use them in the syntax.
Obviously, scaled frequencies won't track in tune with keyboard scaling. This is OK for special filters like the formant I example I was playing with, but something to consider for a general purpose filter.
If you combine multiple filters and crank up the resonance you get multiple resonant peaks. And the peaks won't be in tune with each other as the frequency changes.
If you want to avoid these problems, you can see if just using harmonic multiples of f (f*2, f*1/2, f*4, f*3/2, etc.) will work for your purposes.
Having said all of that, you can scale things with an offset and a multiplier as follows:
(f+x)*y= filter frequency
where, assuming the input f ranges from 20..20,000:
y=(maxfreq-minfreq)/19980
x=(19980*minfreq-20*maxfreq)/(maxfreq-minfreq)
I haven't been able to get entered decimal numbers to work so far, so unless I'm missing the syntax you might have to do the division as part of the algorithm if the result isn't an integer.

Thanks for sharing ... but ... am I the only one who cannot load Chandlers presets? I tried in FL Studio and in Reaper. Both just make the plugin bigger, but no algorithm is there...Chandlerhimself wrote: Sat May 25, 2019 2:52 pmCode: Select all

Really? Have you met the man in the street?you can use mathematical formulas (traditional C/C++ style formating, which is natural for most people)

Would this do it? lowpass(max(200, min(f, 2000))jmg8 wrote: Mon May 27, 2019 8:08 am So, does anyone know if it is possible to set min and max values for the frequency?

They are for MSF, not MTurboFilter.Tagirijus wrote: Mon May 27, 2019 8:23 pmThanks for sharing ... but ... am I the only one who cannot load Chandlers presets? I tried in FL Studio and in Reaper. Uuuu, nice! It's just a working prototype, I still want to improve it a lot, but you have already built some cool stuff apparently!
Editing: If the edit field is problematic, the host is colliding, so just click the virtual keyboard icon on the right, it will display as a popup and all should be fine.

I think there is a lot of cool stuff that potentially be done with it. The analog knob alone makes things sound better. I hope there will be controls added in the future that will let people change algorithms. I understand it may not be possible to change user algorithms, so I hope some of the best ones are added to a separate control that can be a MP target. Although vintage filter sounds are needed, I’m interested in the creative ideas people will come up with.MeldaProduction wrote: Tue May 28, 2019 10:24 am Uuuu, nice! Tagirijus - Sorry, I should have mentioned it was a MSF preset.
