Grr… I cannot figure out why this one modular (far left one) is ever switching to not enabled, or sometimes coming back when certain DPresets are loaded (it's set up exactly the same as the other two Modulars that never switch off).

Image

I tried setting up another layered action for the Easy Screen knob that raises the level on what's inside it, using transform so it would be off at fully left, but switch to On with the least movement upward/to the right, which worked but cut off held MIDI notes whenever moved. And setting that same knob to a minumum which never switched the Modular to inactive worked too, but with the same MIDI cut off.

But WHY should anything like that even be needed? What could be different about this particular Modular that makes it not work like the others?

Stumped! TIA for any ideas!!

A device preset is nothing more than MP values. So that means it has to be a MP that is causing this.
One of the MPs will be modulating the modulars enable state.
Check thoroughly.

I definitely will, thanks!
EDIT:
So, where would you start checking? With each individual MP Editor…? What exactly am I looking for?

SOLVED. Whew.

So, I DID step through each and every MP Editor (Jason: Where's the MP Map?), and found that my trouble started when I pasted in the MP list copied from the Main Template, after loading in the FX Grid Preset from there, into my GPreset.

As you can see in this screen grab from Super Saw, there's a Modular2 in the Generator grid and the first MP for the FX tab modules targets this, as well as the distortion modules in the FX Grid. This modular is also left behind in the Main Template's Gen Grid, as Modular1.

So, when I pasted in the MPs from the MTemplates, Manager, there were indeed MPs (not just 129 shown here, but the next two as well) all aimed at enabling Modular1, which also existed in MY GPreset, and was the one I've been asking about. Now that I've deleted this modular from the MainTemplate, and reloaded, then copied its list from 129 on down, and pasted THIS into my thing, no presets are any longer disabling MY Modular1. Hurray!!

BUT, the first Distortion group in the MT's FX tab now doesn't work. So, deleting that lone Modular from the MT obviously broke it. There's new targets listed in the Editor for MP 129, but as you can see (you can zoom in on the jpg if you open in a new tab/window), they don't seem to have anything to do with Distortion. I don't know WHAT they do.

So, is this another MT problem that Vojtech needs to know about and hopefully fix? Seems like it…

And, btw, what exactly is the difference between Bypass and Enable?

Look at the MP map, you should see it in the list there.
You could paste the settings here and I will take a look for you.
Good question about enable/bypass. Not sure really.

Usually one mode just takes it out of the signal path and the other mode stops it from processing. In general.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.
