I'm wondering about this since is one of the very few effects that doesn't have upsampling possibilities, why is not in MConvolutionMB?

I don't think upsampling will do anything for a convolution reverb, besides waste CPU. Maybe the EQ will be effected, but AFAIK upsampling won't improve the sound.

Ok that's interesting, and why MSF's convolution FX module have it?

haha just curious again :)

Post

Ha! It's pointless indeed, it's there by accident :)

Edit: It seems that upsampling is there for all modules in MXXX, I suppose why not :D, but for many cases it probably won't be useful indeed.

Convolution is a linear process. Upsampling will do nothing meaningful to change or improve the output.

Non-linear processes like compression can benefit from upsampling, but linear processes have no need.

Ok now I understand, thanks all of you. :)

There's the saturation though, so it can be useful, but for most cases, where you don't use it, not so much...
