Right-click each XY assignment->Lock.

A save option would be nice indeed. But for now you can create a custom default preset where you lock all the X and Y knobs so they will never change whatever preset you load.Burkuagh wrote: Mon Jun 03, 2019 9:27 am Would you guys please, please, please give us the option to disable the auto-assigning of blank XY slots when loading patches. I start my patches with my own templates that are almost as barren as they can be with little to no mod assignments and it is incredibly annoying to not be able to save and recall them that way.
And annoyance aside this gives rise to other problems such as playing a sequence in you DAW that has the XY automated and cycling through patches to find just the right one only to have it change the XY assignments to something you don't want and screw up the patch which then has to be fixed by hand.
Edit: Feat. req. Because locking a lot of knobs is cumbersome I like to see an option to lock a whole tab at once and a row or section at once inside a tab.

I know I can change values for all controls by scrolling the mouse wheel and it's a nice feature, but I'm used to change values by clicking and dragging up and down, because that's the way most plugins and DAW's work. This clicking and dragging is not possible for all controles in Hive because on the first click I often get to see a list of values, upon which I have to select a value. It's a bit of a workflow killer because dragging up and down to select a value is faster, especially numerical values.
A place where it's not consistent is the sequencer where you have to click and drag one time (Vel and Mod) and click and click the other(Trsp). (The Trsp list is sorted in the wrong order btw).
In general, things like octaves and semitones don't need a list of values to choose from. I'd rather see those left click lists all gone, including the one with text. So click and drag have the same functionality as scrolling.
The lists can be accessed via the right click menu; a functionality that's already available.
If there's a way to disable this left click lists I like to hear.

But for instance waveforms and other stuff which is not represented by numerical values needs to be a drop down menu. Otherwise it's impossible to discover the full range of options.

Yes.. unison, semitone, octave, transpose, voices should be draggable too (everything with numeric values). It’s easier and faster IMHO.
BTW, sometimes the mouse click dropdown lists are too long and, with the screen size and resolution I’m using, I have to go all the way up or down to the edges of the screen, wait until the rest of the list shows, and then select..

Hi Urs,
Great instrument, one of my favorites!
A couple of trivial issues on the preset page... After doing a search for presets, right clicking on this Search History item does not let you "move to recycle bin", as it is greyed out. So you must first save the search and then delete it in Saved Searches list. Am I missing something, can this be fixed?
Using the mouse scroll wheel on the main list of presets, scrolls this list backwards, scrolling up to go to the next presets, scrolling down to go to the previous presets. Even compared to the index of preset types (on the left of this main list) works correctly as does every other program, app, web page and document that I use. Is there any way to change this (or have an option to do so?)
Thanks so much for a great program!

I was wondering, what purpose do those empty sidepanel lines serve besides taking up the space ? isnt its better to scale/stretch up a little bit the panels to meet the width of upper panel instead ?
Urs, also as i understand there will be a maintance update for Hive 2 that might solve the slow gui and the buggy UI redrawing (in FL studio not all modules apearing at once) ?

Yes, you're missing "clear" at the bottom of the menu. Note also the difference between Search History and Saved Searches. Quoting the fine manual which should be readRobertH2 wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:05 am After doing a search for presets, right clicking on this Search History item does not let you "move to recycle bin", as it is greyed out. Search History
Click on this folder to display the results of past searches (maximum 10). Whenever you need to make the results of a search more permanent, right-click and select save Search... The entry will be moved to the Saved Searches folder – see below. To remove all searches from the list, right-click on the Search History folder and select clear.

Hi Howard,
Thanks for responding. I use Saved Searches for long term storage, things I want to explore over time (but not kept permanently). Some examples would be "NewInHive2.0" and "Sequences and Arps".
Search History is used for the current projects I'm working on, medium term storage.
Then there are one time searches, that are used briefly then removed. These obviously go to Search History by design. I want to remove this "single" search, while retaining what currently there, with a right click and then move to Recycle Bin. This choice is already there in the menu, but disabled.
Now you have to save and then delete from Saved Searches. Obvious this is not a big deal. But it also would be a trivial programming task to enable the Recycle Bin menu option.

Obviously, it affects all our plug-ins. Obviously, we need hardware acceleration. Rewriting the UI can take many months, I reckon half a year at least. We'll check if we need to do this, and if so, we'll do it.Elektronisch wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:16 amUrs, also as i understand there will be a maintance update for Hive 2 that might solve the slow gui and the buggy UI redrawing (in FL studio not all modules apearing at once) ?![]()
I don't know about buggy UI redrawing. Someone mentioned it, but I haven't seen it happening yet on any machine. I'll leave it to our QA and Win developers to figure this out.

Anyone can point me to a place/url where I could find some structured info on customising the UI?
Thx.
Thx.
